New Kickstarter Deck - Metagalactic Blackout

Well, I was going to offer this guy some suggestions but he so clearly has not a single clue what Kickstarter is for, that I just gave up.

So, he really just hoping that random people are going to stump up $6k, so he can have a deck he likes...

I would only get a deck if i pledge at reward 4 which is at $50?? wow.. no matter how "glow in the dark" sounds fun to me, definitely not going to be backing this..

i am still okay if it is for charity etc ... but this .. i am really speechless , how in the earth will he be able to get somone pledging 6000 for him and getting also nothing unless for the bigger reward

This guy clearly has no clue about how Kickstarter works... And, if he has a prototype, how come he only can show us a picture of the back design and faces?

Yeah I sent him my advice too and he gave me pretty much the same answer. So if we're not buying a deck of cards, why are we pledging? So far I haven't seen anyone pledge.

Edit - Now you can actually get 2 decks if you pledge $25, i'm still not interested though.

That's good but overpriced, especially since we only see the back design and QoH's design.

I love the artistry in the back design, but, as mentioned above, this deck is too overpriced. You have to at least give the man chops for setting up a campaign in the first place. At least he's got one backer.

Isn't there deviant art for showcasing or whatevering designs and ideas in art? I personally do not like the deck right now at this stage of course. but I'm intrigued to see what is going to happen to this "kickstarter project" that is not selling anything........
does he not read ToS and what nots?

Whether he sells them or not, they're UGLY.  Glow in the dark is too gimmicky, as well, not to mention impractical - the glowing parts have to be exposed to a light source before they glow.  Does that mean he lays these out on his card table an hour before the game or something?


This is precisely the kind of project that should die an ignominious death and never reach their goal.
