I was just thinking.. I have probably 10-15 decks worth of old cards. Some in perfect condition, some covered in crappy fanning powder that didn't work out especially well. And since I throw cards as well, I go through a standard pack of Bikes in a day and have tons of let over cards.  I was wondering if there's something cool I can do with them? Something more useful than just having them site in a box..

Keep them.
In the next 1000+ years your decks would be very rare.
Hahaha, just kidding.

Use your cards in some magic effect that you need to torn it.
I used up a full deck as well. But still a lot to go.

I'm about to put on some dubstep, grab a roll of tape, and go to town haha. By the end of the night I'll have something cool!

Did you use any adhesive?
Or that's a real card stacking?

As I look at that, I'm thinking "table centerpiece" and "wouldn't that make a cool ceiling lamp shade?"  If you used a compact fluorescent bulb (or several LEDs) with a low-enough wattage, this would make a pretty interesting place to hang some lights.

I used tape to stick it together, no way I could manage all that stacking haha.

One cool idea I saw once was making a dice out of them. Ace, two, three, four, five, six. ;)
Though it works best with Bikes Pro because of the face layout.

That sounds like a great idea! Sounds pretty hard, but it would be worth it.

Also, I like what you've already done! Using it as a lampshade would be awesome.
