I just sent the following eBay message to the seller of an eBay item I bought via "Buy It Now":

Quote
Dear [seller's name],

- I paid for this item on Jan 28

- Estimated Delivery: Feb 1 - Feb 2

- I Messaged you on Feb 5 saying I had not yet received the item.

- is now Feb 7, and I have still not received the item, nor a reply to my message.

What's up?

- rslancastr

How do I escalate my complaint, and when should I do so?

ETA:

I have purchased more than 300 items on eBay over the past 15 years, and have NEVER had this problem before.

id give him a week, could be out of town or busy, or your parcel may be delayed in mail
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

Ebay has buyer protection
so if you don't receive your item Ebay will refund you.
They suggest waiting 15 days (I believe that is the time amount) before filing a complaint.
If you don't receive it by the 14th you can go to the item and click on the drop down menu next to it. Click on resolve a problem and follow the links.
Eventually it will get to file a complaint.
It then sends a message to the seller and if they don't get back in a few days ebay issues you a refund.

I had placed this in the Plethora of Playing Cards subforum because the eBay item in question was a lot of three decks of playing cards (Two Skull & Bones Bikes and a Sultan)

Guess I should have mentioned that in the OP - sorry.

The seller issued me a full refund.

I would rather have had the cards, but a refund is good, too.

No worries. This type of occurrence can apply to many different purchases on ebay and the process is relatively the same so I moved it here incase others that might be in the same situation can find it, even if their issue does not specifically deal with cards.

Good to hear you got some sort of resolution out of it.
