Well, if they still have Arrco Tahoes, put me down for some!  I recall there were two color patterns, and I'd love two of each, if possible!  We'll work it into the Beijing Olympic deck deal we have coming up.

If I'm not mistaken, is this the 魔術8000?
They've got a wide variety of cards, props, and DVD's. Pretty much everything you want, they have. Though some times the price may be a little steep, seeing they have to import most of the stuff from the States and the shipping cost isn't friendly.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I always check the seller ratings, feedback, and if he made any accounts besides that one to see if the seller is reputable and legitimate. And like Alex Chin said, if it's not made in America, it's not genuine, unless the product originated in a particular country or it was intentionally outsourced by the company.

If you're ever thinking about getting into the retail business, make sure you buy the right wholesale goods from the right people. There are many wholesalers based in China that sell counterfeit merchandise, especially electronics. The only legitimate products that you can buy are generic goods, not name brand crap.

I've seen quite a few ebay sellers unknowingly buy fake merchandise, sell it, receive many emails from very angry customers, and have their account shut down for selling counterfeit goods. The Federal Trade Commission won't repay you back for the money lost, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement will come knocking at your door if you import enough fake goods from China. Take everything with a grain of salt and be smart, that's all.

  • Card for me maybe?
I think I saw that fake D&D card clip before... and yes it was from china and I was really tempted though... okay did a search but couldnt find the ebay seller, probably took down the items.. here's a similar link though

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4PCs-Alloy-Metal-Playing-Card-Clips-Guard-Fashion-Style-/150518444830?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230b99331e

for coloured 'fake' card clips.. I asked on their website about the quality etc and here's their reply

Hello my friend,

Thank you for your interesting!

I "What are the difference between the card clips (1PCs Alloy Metal Playing
Card Clips Guard Fashion Style, 1PCs Joe Porper Metal Playing Card Clips 5
Colors for Choice and 1PCs Joe Porper Metal Playing Card Clips Black) you
have for sale?"
You can see the picture on our website that you will know the difference
between them. The configuration is different but material is same.

"Are they all manafuctured by Joe Proper?"
They are made in China.

"I don't see the different coloured card clips being sold in the market and
the price of the 'Signed' card clip was a few times more expensive in other
shops"
I think you can't see a part of card clip in your country because these
made in China and they are found in China only.

Happy a great New Year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions. I will try my best to help you.

Although those are fakes, they may and are probably worth what you are paying though. 4 clips for 20$, how bad can that really be? At worse, they will protect your cards a bit or protect them from warping!
I just realized that my fake porper clip actually has a signature by "Joseph Porper" and not "Joe Porper" LOL

beware of fake card clips!!!  >:( >:( >:(

Actually, these aren't fake in any way.  There's no Joe Porper signature on them, Joe Porper's name appears nowhere in the ad and the seller is totally up front about the fact that they're made in China.  They're deck clips, just not major-name-brand totally-expensive deck clips.

If I buy a deck clip from So-and-So's Magic Shop that bears only a slight similarity to the Porper Clip, doesn't mention Porper in any way and Mr. So-and-So is completely up front about the fact that they aren't made by Porper, how would that deck clip be thought of as any more or less fake than a Porper Clip.

Porper does NOT own the monopoly on card clips, because there is no monopoly.  He owns a patent for a unique design, but that design isn't adequately imitated here.  These are probably no different at all from generic clips sold in magic shops all over the country.

Now the latter two of those may well be forgeries - certainly the last one.

Nathan, I have a legit clip bought straight from Ellusionist.  It ALSO says "Joseph Porper" in the signature.  If it said "Joe Porper" instead, then you'd have a telltale sign it's a true forgery!

I agree wholeheartedly on this point.  More often than not, counterfeits are made out of cheaper materials and won't last as long - if at all.  When buying counterfeit merchandise, it's less like "Buy It Now" and more like "Roll the Dice & Try Your Luck!"  If you go into the deal knowing it's for counterfeit merchandise, know also that there's a chance that you're the one who's getting clipped and not your deck...

And like Alex Chin said, if it's not made in America, it's not genuine, unless the product originated in a particular country or it was intentionally outsourced by the company.

Apple is made in China. It's that enough genuine for you? Nikon, Canon is made in China...not the pro gear, which is made in Japan or Thailand. A lot of things are made in China. Without China we'll pay more than ever for a small things. Let's say for an iPad you'll pay 40% more if this tablet is made in US. Same quality. And I didn't mention the fact that European people pay more for this stuff, shipping also. China is another world and a second Terra. A worker in China is paid with so less that they can't afford a iPad with salary on a month.

I saw a cheap China proper (Joe Proper fake signed) and I have only one genuine from The Blue Crown, the white one. Let me tell you that are the same. I will order one Arcane JP clip from E and one from China and I will tell you if is there any differences.

A genuine Porper is carved from a solid block of aluminum.  Can you say the same about the knock-off?

There's also a difference with some Porpers from E.  Many of their older decks were significantly thicker, to the point that they started offering Porpers in two sizes, "standard" and "Ellusionist".  E was the only seller of the E-sized clips, as you might expect.  The older Arcane clips with the cut-out for the logo were E-sized.

That's true. I never disagreed with what you said, though. I said unless it is outsourced by the company. The example of Apple outsourcing capital from China is also an example of one of the exceptions I have listed. Nonetheless, I agree with what you're saying.
