Last round picks but first ones to purchase.
I found the mystery deck in their shop 2 days before they were supposed to be released. Syd even emailed me after I bought them saying they probably wouldn't be shipped until after Christmas. Lo and behold they arrive on my doorstep a few days later.

Hmmm for the price we paid for these the V7 Smokes and V1 Green Crowns are a pretty good deal in my opinion haha the others are... Well.... "Eh"

So, would you call this motley collection worth $6/deck average?

Ohio Arrcos, red and blue
Aristocrat 727 Banknote reprints, red and blue
Vintage Plaids, two red and one blue
Pro Bike Skull/Bones, red
Massa (I paid TWO BUCKS for my previous Massas - I cry foul!)
Fulton's Clip Joint
Ace Fulton's Casino, brown
Smoke from v7 boxed set

I'd considered getting that v7 boxed set, if only briefly, after reading a review of them.  I was so disappointed after seeing my Smoke deck - it saved me from spending around $90-95 with shipping!  And I didn't suddenly fall in love with Ace Fulton's after opening the brown - they seemed OK, but too quirky for no really good reason.  I liked the FCJs when they first came out, but they don't hold up well.  But the first eight decks listed I actually like.  I enjoyed Vintage Plaids when they came out, love the Aristos and Arrcos and love anything Pro Bike.

While some individual decks weren't worth it to me, on average I think I did OK.  No Jerry's Nugget, but I also didn't get stuck with a string of clunkers.

And yet my mystery decks still have not shipped. Maybe I'll be able to let you folks know what decks I get before Memorial Day, at this rate.

I received:
- Fulton's Clip Joint
- Vintage Plaid (Blue)
- Acorn Back (Black & Silver) Don't know if it is Ivory and Cambric

Could be worse, I did not have a vintage plaid or the black and silver Acorn Back, did not want to see a Clip Joint, but alas....Anyway, it turned out alright I guess, lol.

Randomly found this on ebay. For some reason, this makes me feel sick.

Don't know if it is Ivory and Cambric

I'd say it is most likely cambric(same case on my end).Look at the top of the box. Part of the word will be covered by the seal but you'll see "BRIC" , and hence my conclusion.

Apparently, I ended up receiving Air Cushion professional Skull cards (as well as Ivory). Didn't know those existed, at least not on D&D's website.

At least each deck is worth at least what you paid for it.

Ivory is smooth to the touch, Cambric is the Bee version of Air Cushion, with embossed surfaces.

Re the eBay sale - it's a caveat emptor world out there on eBay.  Only a sucker would bother.  I'd be willing to wager that the deck's wrapper was even opened and resealed - after seeing mine I can see it would be easy enough to do.  Most of mine didn't even come with string around them and the few that did only wrapped around horizontally.  They were mad-busy trying to get these out the door...

Re the Skull & Bones - it was always in Ivory and Air Cushion, just like the original Professional Bicycles.  They were made for CARC and are listed with both finishes on their site.  I find their Ivory decks pretty interesting - insanely stiff due to the heavy stock and nigh-indestructible.

I've surprised even someone paid $15 for a mystery deck that might just be a Massa. Only a handful of decks received look to be over $15, if any. Oh man. SMH.

No one paid anything for it, yet.  It's still up for bids.  And that bid was probably made from a shill account.

Ask Alex was a CARC deck, though for many the decidedly one-way back was a turn-off.
The red/blue Vintage Plaids are all right.
The Arrcos are from the Ohio factory - worth it.

I'm ok with the Clip Joints and Chinatowns, and the v6 reprints are very nice. I'm satisfied with my lot.

Well, it was a gamble. I barely made my money back. I spent about $100 on the 2 bricks after my member discount. I'd call it a success overall.

I'm thinking that each of the really cool rare decks they showed on the page exist in quantities of exactly one each.  You'd have a better chance of winning at least the minimum prize in a typical state lottery.

I agree. I noticed a lot of the vintage plaids turning up, but to be honest there pretty nice decks. I'm not sure how they hold up over time yet but i like the design much better than the original bee backs. based on a purely monetary value i made my money back and then some so not too much to complain about.

Im going to try that in my store and see if people actually like the idea of buying a "mystery deck"
