I actually like the idea of a "themed" back to go with the artistic medium - a two-way pattern that somehow tastefully incorporates scissors and paper-cutting in the design!
Funny that you say this because scissors are a part of the back.

@Ncyclopedia do you know when you want to release this deck or start a Kickstarter campaign? Heck, you may not even be thinking about yet. haha

I'd like to release it by the summer, but that's not set in stone yet.

Oh awesome!! Summer sounds like a good time to release it. Hopefully the releases will have slowed down a little but more and your deck will get some good time in the spotlight. Although I'm not worried with everybody's positive reaction around here haha

The back looks awesome!! Very simple and the scissors look good. It's very classy in my opinion. Honestly, it wasn't what I was expecting at all but it looks great. Can't wait for this one

Just to add to the support, I will pledge if this deck gets kickstarted. I like the simple yet pretty designs. Every card seems to be telling a story.

I mean the compass inside the diamond is shifted upwards.

Haha, I'm surprised mine hasn't kicked in yet. I guess it'll be a bit more obvious when it's on a real poker size card, rather than an image on the internet.
Either way, I can definitely see where you're coming from. ;)

Actually, the circle is in the middle, the north is only higher because of the flower under it... I wouldn't consider it a mistake. It would look much worse if the circle itself wasn't centered.

Happy New Year Everybody!

I mean the compass inside the diamond is shifted upwards.

Hmm, I measured the compass/circle to be in the center of the diamond, so I'm not sure how it appear shifted (maybe the fleur de lis at the top is making it appear that way?).

Anyways, Thank you to everyone for your thoughts on the back. I honestly had no idea how it would be received due to its simplicity.

I can't wait for the deck, and I honestly don't mind about the Ace of Diamonds, It's centered, but my eyes are just perceiving it that way. Either way, it's an amazing deck, and I can't wait to get some.

P.S. Shouldn't this thread be renamed :)

P.S.S. I forgot people in PST, so it is still valid for it to say next year :)

Thanks man, and no sweat about the Ace (it's not the first time others have perceived something I missed). According to a friend, there's a a skull in one of the cards, but this is definitely not a BBM deck  ???

Thank goodness about that last sentence!

What card is the scull on? I looked at all the cards, but I couldn't see it. The only thing that is remotely close is the totem pole card.

The 8 of Clubs. He says there's a skull framed by the necklace. To him, the 2 pips at the top are the eyes and the top center pip is the nose.

I really wish I could show everyone these cards in person. Only my family and a handful of friends have seen them. For the 5 of clubs, the paper is cut so thin for the strings that they're actually pluckable.
