NEW DECK - April Fool's Deck from De'vo.

Yeah... I'm leaning towards passing on this deck. I'm not really liking the design and whatnot so far, but there is still more to see. All in good time I guess

I have no idea what is going on with this deck.. looks like a mix of gothic, sci-fi?, evil things and what not.. I think I'll pass, but I'll have to see the cards first.. most I'll do is throw away/change the box...  :-X

We have no idea what it is - and the teasers could still be an elaborate April Fool's joke.

Remember one thing: as of yet, Handlordz/De'vo have yet to release a fully customized deck.  Custom backs, jokers, ace of spades (two for the last deck, Midnight Edition), and some black/red color tweaking for the courts, but beyond that, no tweaks - standard courts/spots, standard pips.  They handle well, but handling's only one aspect of a deck.

Well obviously  I mean it could all be a joke, but we are still going to converse about the design that we see as of now, joke or not. We can say we love it, we can say we hate it, in the end it will be what it is. We all know there is a possibility that it may not be for real  so no need to keep reminding. In the mean time let's have some fun discussing the pictures we've seen be it the final design or not

Hmm, but that's weird cos most decks (If i'm not wrong it'll be all, my knowledge of decks isn't alot..) have cards and tuck boxes suited for a particular theme

If this deck really ends up being like this, I will be very disappointing. I think there would be, in that case, many decks worth much more attention than this one (i.e. Vortex, Skulkor, Tendril etc.) I think that this will be, if this deck actually comes out, a very crazy deck, or a gaff deck.

...but since it's an April Fool's Deck, conventional wisdom may have been tossed out the window on this one...

While a gaff deck would be thoroughly awesome, De'vo has had a longtime "bad blood" relationship with magicians.  The early days of XCM-as-separate-art were rough, with magicians refusing to accept it as a real art and giving flourishers a hard time.  De'vo felt himself to be a champion of the art in its nascence.

So the odds of him making a magician's gaff deck are really, really low - unless he means to be either a true practical joke or an olive branch to magicians.

Well if it is a joke I'm sure we won't find out until April 1st! haha It would be a horrible April fools joke if he gave us the "punchline" now haha

@Kanped... I'm not sure what gormless twonk with a sword is, but it sounds just about right... In fact it sounds like quite a few decks could fit into the gormless twonk with a sword category... hahahaha....

I think I remember hearing that it would be fully custom but I don't know for sure...

Yes!! I'm glad that it's going to be mostly custom, even if it is just one ridiculous deck. This seems like such a fun idea. We'll see how successful it is. So far it's been a jolly good time

This deck will probably show a lot of creativity and its a nice break from the blades design.

"Deck update. We just found out that we can release in the title of the "April Fools Deck" and we plan on doing that next week. Also ALL of the cards will have the Blades stock and finish - this includes the April Fools deck and the Blood Metal (silver Gilded deck)! Also this doesn't necessarily mean that the silver gilded deck will handle as well as the others, which is why it's still considered a collectors deck. It "may" perform better than traditional gilded decks, but we'll have to see and handle them before we make that assessment. The other decks however should handle and perform like the other Blades - which in our opinions are the best handling/performing decks on the market." - De'vo
