Design & Development / Alternate for black cards?
« on: July 03, 2012, 06:55:55 PM »
so ink saturation is a big factor in how quickly a deck wears out. that being said, black cards seem to be quite popular and more people seem to be designing them. So do you think a black stock would be economic for the USPCC to use? like have an actual black sheet that isnt ink. like the monarch boxes. (think construction paper or something along those lines) just a thought :)

hey guys :) so i was chilling on another forum when i found these:

http://www.indiegogo.com/safetyplayingcards?c=home

now, i absofrickinlutely LOVE this deck. I mean, apart from maybe the charity water cards t11 introduced, there havent been many cards released for a definite CAUSE. sure, they may not be ideal for magic or cardistry but it's just such a unique, almost controversial idea. I really hope these get funded and i hope you guys like them as much as i do :D

Playing Card Plethora / David Blaine Marked Deck
« on: March 08, 2012, 05:40:18 PM »
i have one david blaine 'mindreading' deck which has lasted me AGES, the handling and durability was absolutely divine, as was the marking system. However, most major retailers that had them before (Penguin, D&D) discontinued them and its getting harder to find these at a decent price, does anyone know why, and where i can buy these cheaper/ in bulk?

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Stage show ideas?
« on: February 17, 2012, 10:30:03 PM »
hi everyone :D so i absofrickinlutley LOVE stage magic, i did a few shows over the summer and enjoyed them a lot. We have a school talent show coming up, and i really want to do something but im unsure of what to do content-wise. A lot of the stuff i did was aimed towards children and families with children, and highschoolers are pretty merciless and im scared of performing for them Dx I was thinking of doing something mentalism-themed but i havent really reached out much into that branch of magic.

Sooo my question to you is, should i stick to visual stuff or start dabbling in mentalism? and any resources you send my way would be greatly appreciated :D
