V-Slims have no cellophane and wax paper, the cards stick together if not properly stored.  :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck:

I might buy 2 of each. (When I buy 1 or 2 of newly released decks, it means I don't like them much but just feel I should have them...)

SORRY, OFF TOPIC!
I don't want to create a new thread (don't think this message is important to everyone), so I post here.

LoL.
I flue from Tokyo to Bangkok on 3/10. One day before the earthquake.
I guess I'm try lucky, because I almost postpone the flight and stay in Tokyo longer.

Yes, you're very lucky. The power of natural disaster is terrible. Do earthquakes occur in Thailand?

The 3-11 earthquake accidentally improves the friendship between Taiwan and Japan much. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube if searching "Thank you Taiwan", "謝謝 台灣", or "台湾 ありがとう". So many Japanese say they love Taiwan and lots of youths travel to Taiwan since last year. Actually we don't know how this could have happened. I meant, we just returned the favor for their help in 1999 earthquake here and never expected they would have such responses.  :-\

Today is the anniversary of 3-11 earthquake. Just saw this video from my friends:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB36inEK__s
Sometimes my eyes become moist when watching these videos. People in the video said if they don't do anything then nothing will be changed, so they rebuild Japan very hard, meanwhile, they hope Taiwan may guard/stand with them as always.

It just arrived today, in great condition all wrapped very neatly! Thanks a lot Digipunk!
PS: what was that extra red paper thing that came with it?

Hahaha...glad to hear this. And thanks to JimmyJohns, xZEROx, Don, and jmrock.

@Nathan, the red pocket (or red envelope) was discussed in page one here ;) ;)

Though people give red envelopes to their kids and elderly people at Chinese New Year's Eve instead of Jan 1st as xZEROx said. hahaha. Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year#Red_envelopes

Introduce Yourself / Re: Is this the Cardaholics Anonymous meeting?

Yes I meant sword :-[
No more quick question :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck:

Lol regret asking now do you? >.<
I think Don knows more about Japanese culture than any of us here, even though if we're more related to it in some way or another.

Yes, I regret asking that. I just wanted to test, like what I always do to some sellers: ask a trivial question and see how they will say.

@Don, another quick question, do you know South Korea is eating Japan now? hahaha. This won't be a quick answer either.

"Missent" means that the first sort facility put the package in the wrong bin based on the zip code.
After that the address is not looked at until it arrives at the local Post Office.
"Arrival at unit" means the local Post Office, not the addressee.
So the local Post Office realized the mistake and probably now is rerouted.
For sure it was not delivered to a wrong person.

Thank you. I feel relieved now. ;)

but if I only have 1 deck...
I will keep it sealed, and wait for the second

You are a vintage deck collector, so you know we usually have to wait for the chances. Modern deck collectors don't understand why you have one and need to wait for the second... :P :P

I would say that the Tally Ho has always been my favorite brand of card...

I forgive you for not owning the Bicycle War Series.

Do you eventually get so many you are able to resist the temptation?

If I really like a deck, I will open and use it. So if I really like a deck, I buy as many as I can.
Buying decks and not opening them, no fun, no fun, no fun.

No, I don't know what he mean, but he likes to say meow meow. (off topic again, sorry)

Thanks, I see now. And that's why the seller didn't scan the back... one way design. I have to reconsider this deck... ::)

Take it as a piece of art that resembles our culture. That should make it easier. ;)

Now it's the only reason that may convince me to get the deck. This is not the designers' first deck, I don't understand why it is one-way back again (the Bicycle Pirate deck is already one-way).

It should be the design on the back of the box. Also, if you look back to the first post by CBJ, it does seem like the case.
This needs to be confirmed though.

Thanks, I see now. And that's why the seller didn't scan the back... one way design. I have to reconsider this deck... ::)

do you guys know where can i learn table faro ?

D&D Trilogy

No, it's not the table "Riffle" faro I mean. In D&D's tutorial, it is just like what Daniel did in his video. Everyone knows they're interlacing the cards.

@hawjinjian, I really don't want to show my video. Here you go:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLU0NcVXQDQ
A regular riffle shuffle, followed by a table riffle faro. The purpose of table riffle faro is to interlace the cards. It looks and sounds like regular riffle shuffle. Once it is done, the deck is stacked.

Personally I'm really disappointed in the Joker (and I'm pretty sure @digipunk would too).
Glad the court cards are customized, but I don't like how he put the suits again next to the pip.

hahhaa, my problem is I don't see the back of the cards. There are only box and faces. :-\

Hope this problem will be solved. You are in Oakland, and it was shipped to San Francisco... :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck:

Hi Nathan, is it possible to contact the PO and try to collect the parcel?
Did you lose any money because of this?
No, never. This is the first time I encounter such situation.

@AceGambit, then it's my apologies that I misunderstood what you meant. ;)
(I thought you don't know what's real table faro shuffle in the previous post, but now I saw you mentioned what he did in the video so I think you know the sleight)

@Kanpet, in your link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tISfCnbkh1k) Daniel Madison did a poor table faro at 33".

100
He can't even do table faro well.
I don't know if you've read Expert at the Card Table, but one of my favorite points in the book that the author makes is that in order to be a successful cheat, you cannot look like you know how to handle a deck of cards well.\

It may be that Madison is such a seasoned cheat that he has trained himself to do a table faro the way a layman would so as not to arouse suspicion.

I've read EATCT more than 20 times my friend. A table faro should look like regular riffle shuffle instead of letting all spectators know he's interlacing the cards.
