Playing Card Plethora / Re: Bicycle Truth Garden No. 03 coming out soon

According to "taobao" in China, they said the Black Deck will be released on 20:00 16Feb2013 local time and selling at ¥68.00.

RMB 68 is approx. $10.9, I wish I can get these decks with reasonable price then. :(

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but Saturday 16 Feb 20:00 in China (that's the local time referred to above, right?) is 12:00 Saturday in UTC and 07:00am US/Canada Eastern Time, right?

Don, it's correct, but xiaowochang announced the bad news in the previous post. I am not in China either and don't know how to get the decks directly. It's very likely that I will have to get them from the 850 overseas selling decks  :(

I like this deck too because of its design and the quality of the box, but somehow the stock of cards remind me of typical Bicycle 808 :o

I...I....live in Taiwan... :-\ :-\

You have a White Moth deck or two you are willing to give up for a small fee.  ???

I have 2 White Moth decks. If someone here wants one or two White Moth, I will buy the deck(s) for him and charge the actual fee that I pay. I can only do this for only one person here.

However, after comparing the prices on eBay, I don't think buying the deck via me will save much money. (the price of the deck and the local shipping fee from the seller to me is approx. $12.5 in total, and you can find it's $14.99 on eBay. I don't think there is much difference)

I want some Altruism decks but I don't want to spend money on the BC.
So, if you have too much Altruism decks that you don't want.
I'm offering my white monarch for 8 decks of Altruism (8*5.91$ = 47.28$)

Shipping from Thailand.

Wow... you fall behind the schedule. I've got some Altruism decks recently :D :D

Anyone who's collecting strictly for future value is going to be in for a big surprise.

Damn, it makes me clearly see how foolish I've been with regard to my collecting in the past... Keep buying bricks of Blue Tunes Decks and bricks of Ace Fulton Decks... I was once there people, but I've seen the light... I hope you do as well... Too much foolishness and the hobby I love is just being mucked up by garbage... I'm saving for real estate while the market is still depressed... I'm really cooling it with the cards for now... A few here and there... Maybe some trades... As Don said... "A big surprise."

Off topic  :-\

...Perhaps Taiwan is too bored and also announced and deployed PAC-3 and TK-3 missiles (aka Sky Bow III) to shoot down the rocket if Japan should fail to intercept it.

Actually I hope Taiwan has the chance to deal with the rocket because it can be treated as an excise. We often say Singapore is like a scorpion, and Taiwan is like a hedgehog. Taiwan has world's 2nd highest density of air defense missiles and that is on the same level as Israel (world's highest density).

Though Taiwan is small, but there were still some interesting stories. For example, world's first time to destroy an enemy aircraft with air-to-air missiles: Taiwan pilot in 1958 (and of course the victim was China air force). Taiwan also had good relationship with middle east countries, Jordan pilots was trained by Taiwan, North Yemen pilots was trained by Taiwan (actually Taiwan pilots even flied their aircraft to attack South Yemen). Several crazy guys were trained in Taiwan when they were young: Saddam Husain (Iraq), Muammar Gaddafi (Libya), and Manuel Noriega (Panama). In 2010 Taiwan accidentally sold some equipment to Iran that might be used to develop nuclear weapons (and certainly US warned Taiwan). Should stop here, you won't want to know how many times US has stopped Taiwan from developing N power in these 40 years.

Anyway, look at the 2009 TV advertisement of the dept. of national defense... damn, we have transformers :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck: :mindf-ck:

I chose Magic Finish. For me, the handling of the 2 finishes don't make big difference, I mean they are both good for handling even though there's a little difference between them. However, the description of the first post was very accurate, it mentioned "durability" and actually I can not ignore durability  (I tried but in vain)  because of the weather here. So I have to pretend I chose Magic Finish with no regards to durability...

Off topic all the way... I don't know how to continue, there were too many events happened in Feb and Mar.

Last week's news was Taiwan's HonHai Precision Industry decided to invest 130 billion yen in Japan, in order to improve Japan's economy and cooperate Sharp to fight against Korean companies. Then Apple wanted to participate the group, so it might be [HonHai+Sharp+Apple] vs [Samsung+LG].

North Korea will launch a satellite in April but many countries said its real purpose is to test the long-range missile. South Korea and Japan will shoot down the rocket as long as it veers off course. Japan has deployed Aegis warships and PAC-3 Patriot missiles in Okinawa. Perhaps Taiwan is too bored and also announced and deployed PAC-3 and TK-3 missiles (aka Sky Bow III) to shoot down the rocket if Japan should fail to intercept it.

...When you reflect upon it, Mao, Stalin and Hitler killed more people in their reigns than religion has in 2,000 years...
...a man made famine in China killed 10's of millions....

You broke China's national secrets. ???

Apparently these decks aren't worth too much from the looks of those ebay searches. Just because it's old doesn't make it valuable unfortunately.

I agree. When seeing "Pinochle" in the first pic, I lose interest in it :-\ :-\

Guys Guys Guys!!!
Did you read the first post???
I have decks where it's says Cincinnati Ohio on the bottom of the box instead of Erlanger Kentucky!!!
I knew, I didn't mention that because it is too obvious that they were produced in Ohio, nothing interesting ::)
According to my experience of handling these decks, the cards are all the same.

I actually didn't know the black Bee Stingers had ever been printed in Erlanger. Good to know! I personally prefer the box from the first print though. And welcome to the forums, Dudeeeee!!!!
You're kidding, right? The deck I sent to you was made in Erlanger KY. :t11: :t11:

I tried to look at the texture of both the tuck boxes but I can't make out the differences.
Digipunk, does the left deck state Ohio and the right state Erlanger on the bottom of the box?
Both state Erlanger on the bottom, but you may find something different (pic-2)
and the jokers in the left box state "CINCINNATI, OHIO 45212" (pic-3).
