At one time in recent history, people would have laughed at such large phones

That was me! I made fun of phablet users relentlessly! Now I have an iPhone 6 Plus and am hiding from all the people I used to make fun of...=P

There was a time when smaller was better.....now bigger is better....guess everything do work in cycles.

Anyway, back to this deck. It seems they always create tons of accessories and extra limited edition tucks. While i don't really go for the accessories, some of it does seem rather cool to be coupled with a deck. Could this be a whole new trend coming up? Not only accessories, but maybe a complete box set with figures and themes and what not.

12 projects created. 11 Funded (one was cancelled). And if i am not wrong, already 3 playing card projects successful, with this being the 4th. Not hard to see why she continues producing them.

Yeah, hopefully nobody is waiting for a Kickstarter before picking these up. This close to the end of the year, we're only planning on doing the pre-order so not picking them up now means full price later.

We're really happy with the way these came out and we think anyone that is a Breaking Bad fan will agree that we nailed all of the characters.

Feels like getting smacked right in the face.

Just 10 days later, a KS is launched with lower pricing per deck. 8 Decks with $23 shipping is still $10.87 per deck. Still lower than the pre-order without shipping at $11.99.

I'm in as soon as i received the email from encarded....and that is super late.  :(

I find it weird that he have rewards structured in a way that no one can have both the mega tuck and the special edition Ascendant tuck, unless they use 2 KS accounts.

Looks like it was a great success, sorry I missed out.

Not a bad deal for 6 decks.

As far as the pricing goes maybe there is some weird fee for larger items above a certain weight... maybe it is the extra cost for the print on the brick box...maybe it is something else...you never can anticipate all the "other" fees there are for decks, that much I know.
I have invited them to join us so maybe they can share their reasoning behind this. I really don't understand it.

I just read PurpleIce's comment,
And the price, even with worldwide shipping seems a tad high, with the price increasing the more you buy. Doesn't look like they want larger pledges?
$16 for a deck for 1 deck is on the high side for international shipping, but not unheard of. (used to it  :( ), but $16.50/deck for 6 decks is not. Not only does the price doesn't decrease in larger quantities, but it seems the shipping goes up per deck with more decks. First time i seen shipping work this way.
Wait is this SHIPPING prices?  :o Now I really don't get it...

I meant it as deck + shipping.

From what i know and from my little bit of shipping, it really depends on the items. Shipping companies tend to charge either by actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. I have done my fair bit of calculation and there is no way volumetric weight can be higher for a deck of cards, or any amount of decks for that matter, even with a good layer of protection. And usually the prices goes down per deck because of the initial base cost, so the more decks u ship, the base cost gets divided further per deck.

The costing makes more sense now because i missed out the art prints. (i only say art prints because i haven't seen anyone charge for brick boxes whether customised or not. I do remember seeing add-ons for customised brickboxes, but if you do not want it, doesn't mean they wrap your 12 decks in a shopping bag, you just get the plain old white ones.)

Happy Holidays BLACK FRIDAY Backers!

The project is now over 80%, so to celebrate, I will give you ONE DECK FOR FREE if your pledge amount is over $59. Whatever you order, as long as the total is over 59USD, you will get an extra free deck.

113
Just placed an order with LPCC.  Noticed that they had the Serpentine pair listed at $6.75 on the main Black Friday page, but the actual product page and cart listed them at $8.75.  Regardless, some really great prices on several decks I've been wanting to get.  Thanks EPCC & LPCC!

Question about the EPCC deal.  Was the bonus Red Zen Prototype deck for any of the 1st 144 orders, or only the 1st 144 orders of the Zen Brick Special?  It's not clear from the post.

I'm guessing it is first 144 customers with the brick. Kinda suck as they release this at 7am in my morning. And i don't know if i can still get it because it ain't listed in my shopping cart.

"Where's the hashtag key? How do I do a hashtag?"

My girlfriend and I are both social media nerds. People are always asking us "where's the hashtag key?" or "how do I do a hashtag on my computer?" We thought it was finally time to do something about it!

This guy must be hanging out with idiots....

While he is at it. He might as well create a !@$%^&*()_+|}{":?>< keyboard as well...you know, just in case there are more idiots.

From the creator of Calaveras and Oracle.

Not sure if this is Tarot, but from the image, looks like Tarot-themed playing cards.

Pretty good for a Letter court deck. One of the better ones I've seen. I don't much care for the ghosted back on the face cards. The back itself, I would like it better if it was simple two color and the patterns didn't overlap. That overlap I think is the most negative aspect. I like the Pips and the Indices. Overall, not a bad letter deck at all. I want to like it more than I do.

It is a very noble effort i must say. (Eh Noble effort eh....Nevermind..) I don't mind the back colours, as it seems to bring more layers to it, but i also do not like the overlapping portion.

And the price, even with worldwide shipping seems a tad high, with the price increasing the more you buy. Doesn't look like they want larger pledges?

I seem to comment a lot on pricing lately, but everything just seems to keep going up. Rather than beating others on design, people seem to just want to beat others on pricing, in the wrong way.

Nice deck, but probably won't buy for that price.

Wow, I must be feeling ranty tonight...

haha, I was feeling it too for some reason. Out of character for me. I think it's due to this mess of a deck. Every time I look at it I feel like, Grrr. May have the same effect on you haha.

I think it is simply a matter of expectations. We are already expecting lesser and lesser from USPC, at least give us a freaking good deck on Club 808. It's like they were out of ideas and brainstorming for a new club 808 deck and hit a brick wall....until someone said, "why don't we try looking at it from another perspective?"

I also seriously think this laminated piece of paper deck actually will look better than if it were printed on actual cards. (As an art piece)

That's the point - those are the hand-made prototypes she's been carrying around and the project is to make them into a professionally-manufactured deck.

I mentioned to her that we have a topic on her deck and invited her to come by and make an account.

I mean she should continue using the laminated paper. Her story now looks like something drawn from a gal using her heart to give to others. Printing it on professionally-manufactured deck doesn't have that same feeling. Of course it probably comes down to execution still.

Crap. There goes my chances unless everybody stop posting for a week.  :P

Good luck to all those that guessed late this week or the next. It should most likely hit in that time frame.

I'm the reason there should be more pictures. I didn't even know there was a video. I usually never watch them. So this is a better than I thought, but if I hadn't read a few of our comments here. I would have never given the project a second look. I think most people browsing KS would do the same.

Likewise, i would never watch the video if i didn't read it here. The concept is great. The video made me like the deck of cards. But the artwork is a meh, most of it is ok...but that's that, just ok. And the pricing, seriously...are they really printing in some gold infused ink or something that i don't know about? Everybody's jumping into "my deck is worth THAAAAAAT much" price range. I understand you put in effort you want rewards, but come on, I don't design my customers houses and charge them Le Corbusier, or paint and charge them Picasso.

I also seriously think this laminated piece of paper deck actually will look better than if it were printed on actual cards. (As an art piece)

If they can put a countdown timer on it, it should more or less be finalized and they probably have their decks somewhere on the printer already.

I really do hope we see something a little different this time.

New back, opinions please!  :)

Comparing this to the previous back, I really like this more as well. Like Rose mentioned, the flow is definitely more eye-pleasing now.

As to how much of an Art Nouveau back this is i really can't comment. I know it but am not an expert on it. If you stand by your ground, maybe you can show us some processes during your KS project so others can understand how or where your back derived from. But this is definitely better than the previous one.

These look so awesome, I truly doubt I have the patience to achieve anything like this without the help of a lot of glue... ;)

I doubt i have the patience to do something like this WITH GLUE.  :mindf-ck:

124
I was just about to comment asking about a shuriken coin :o
That'd b awesome, but th edges would have to b rounded off or made completely blunt.

I don't think he could offer a coin in the shape of a shuriken.  Too much like an actual weapon.  Not to mention that the die to stamp it would cost a fortune.

A coin with an image of a shuriken, on the other hand, would be fine - milled or smooth edge.

Even if it were to be made, and the edges ended up more rounded and blunt....wouldn't it end up looking like a flower or something?  :P
