I had these all out for pics, stuff from the last week so I popped off a quick image, also ever since Tom's rundown on the Army/Navy 1981 Repo it's been on my list......finally got one, very beautifully done, just giddy to have it in my collection :)

What is that DMC deck?

  • Kickstarter:

@Rob Wright: you made my day with you No 17 brick. Do you know if No 17 decks gonna be sold on specialised playing cards e-shops? Like Jpp.... or is a kickstarter limited release? I could'n back it, but i'm hopping to buy them from resselers.

Lorenzo usually has some left over. Once the project is complete, I'm sure you will be able to pick some up.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

What is that DMC deck?

It's Drummond Money-Coutts latest deck release, the Great Whites and Sharks were his previous decks.  :)

That website seems to be defunct. Anyone know where I can pick these up?

Nobody has posted here for a while... and so for the heck of it, here's around half my stash of Legends playing cards.

With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

I'm in the process of moving - perhaps I'll show the boxes and drawers containing my collection, once I have them all wrapped and stacked.  The drawers look cool - I pulled them out of the storage unit they were in and wrapped them with stretchable cellophane that appears green when shown in layers.  Gonna feel like second Christmas when I open them in my new place!

@Hank: lol. Bro, although that is around half of my stash, those are all of the Legends in-house decks that I have -- the other half are printed by Legends (and some by EPCC), but not their in-house brands. So basically, cool decks like LUXX (V1 and V2), Golden Spike (gold edition and black ink), ShiShou, Jetsetter, Bowl-a-rama, etc.

I must confess though, I wouldn't mind having some more V1 Legends!

@Don: It would be brilliant to see some of your collection. I'm looking forward to it already!

In the mean time, 3 more decks arrived today.

USPCC quality ‎sucks (to state the obvious)... but this is one time where I'm getting some USPCC decks due to what the decks are connected to.

These are decks for the movie which basically got me interested in the world of card sharps, card cheating, Erdnase, etc. It's an awesome movie, and even Jason England and Paul Wilson had parts in it and consulted for it.

In case you haven't already guessed, it's the SHADE casino deck.

I personally liked SHADE a lot more than ROUNDERS!‎

OK, you asked for it...

Everything you see wrapped in green cellophane, plus the small brown boxes on top, constitutes about 95% of my playing card collection plus the decks I was donated for giving away at the hospital.  The small wrapped drawers hold 45 decks each and are completely filled.  The large white boxes hold 125 decks each and all but one are filled to capacity, that last one being over 80% full.  The small white bundle on top of the drawers in the foreground is four bricks wrapped together.  The small brown boxes are 36 decks each and there's six of them.  I'm not sure how many decks the big drawers can hold - it's more than double the capacity of the small ones, but there's lots of other stuff in there like magic props and empty boxes.  I can say that one of them is filled nearly to capacity with nothing but trick decks - there's over fifty stripper decks alone.

In total, you're looking at well over two thousand decks in that pile.

The other boxes not wrapped in green are mostly books, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and PS3 games.  Included amongst them would be pretty close to every magic DVD and instruction book I own.

Combine this with what I have in storage (a 5x10' space) and the stuff I haven't yet packed and you can fit pretty close to all of my possessions into a box that's 10 feet cubed (in metrics, about 3.05 meters on each edge), the major exclusion being my car: a 2015 Honda Civic.

WOW.... I barely got 10% of what you have there hahaha... I wonder what my wife will say if I had that many decks.

Don, is that all opened? or mostly sealed?

I have a feeling its gonna be mostly opened...

Only about 30% is opened.  Nearly every deck in the drawers are open, but nearly every deck in the white boxes are sealed.

I neglected to mention, between the drawers in the foreground and the bundle of bricks are three smaller sports card boxes - I think they hold about a brick-and-a-half each.  There's a dozen small drawers, four large drawers and a dozen super monster boxes.

Or as a cautionary tale, depending on your wallet and spouse approval factor.   ;)  Just focus on collecting what you really like, set boundaries and follow them, the rest will happen and you'll get to where you want to be over time.

I think it's time you did a YouTube video of your collection. You did such a nice job on the Uusi gilded video, I would really look forward to seeing a collection video.

It's not my only past due video.  I have a video to do with reviews of gilded decks.

We'll see, once I'm settled into my new apartment.

I definitely regret a few of my purchases, I own a few things that I spent a little more on than I should have, or never really wanted in the first place, but it has helped put into perspective what to buy and what to pass. Although I have a very long ISO list I will get around to some day.

And The No. 17s are great!! They will be an awesome addition to your collection!!

I can relate to this. Hardcore.

But now I like to think I do what EcNate does, limit myself by placing higher standards for purchasing.

When DB opened the window for his Metallic Green Gatorback deck, I kind of went over the top. Just a little, mind you. Hahaha 😂 😂 😂 I now have 10 bricks left.

I was also lucky with the Red Metallic Gatorback deck, as well.
