Playing Card Plethora / Mystery Deck By Dan & Dave
« on: December 21, 2012, 07:50:58 AM »
"We pulled a limited number of cards from our private reserve, featuring over 100 unique decks, and have made them available at an extremely affordable price. However, each deck has been hand-wrapped so not even we know what you'll receive. The mystery is waiting for you to unwrap, literally! Additionally, we've included a handful of rare and valuable playing cards just waiting to be the prize of your collection.

We invite you to experience the joy of surprise our Deck of The Month Club members get 12 times a year, right now, and for a fraction of the price."

I made this necklace earlier in the year using one of the Artifact Coins from Ellusionist.   I like to wear different and unique necklaces and came up with the idea when the coins first came out.   It’s nothing fancy and didn't take very much time to make but I like the look of it and it has gotten a few comments about what it is and where I got it from.   What about you guys?   Have you taken a deck of playing cards (like phantom1412) and created something with them?   Have you taken any kind of magic prop or accessory and used it for something other than what it was intended for?   I know we have some creative people on here so I'm curious to see what you guys have come up with.   Please do share.

Whats up guys, I have been getting a lot of emails in regards to the Dan & Dave Variety Box V7 that just came out recently.  Some of you know that I purchased 2 and have been asking me if planned on getting rid of one.  Well, I don't wanna pick and choose who I give it too.  So I thought I would make it fair for everyone and placed it on EBAY as an auction.  Don't miss out on this 2nd chance to own one!!  Good luck to all of you!

Just opened my very first deck of Blue Artifice V2's.  Just pulled them out of the box and they haven't been shuffled.  Anybody see anything wrong with this picture?

The Conversation Parlor / Looking for playing card wall art
« on: January 02, 2012, 09:16:10 PM »
Hey guys, I'm not sure if I saw it on this forum or on Unitedcardists.  But I have been looking for an hour and decided to just ask you guys whether it has already been posted or not.  But I remember someone posting an Ace of spades either painted on a wall or it was a decal stuck to the wall.  It had the Ace of spades pip on the wall and the spade itself had words written on the inside that listed all of the winning poker hands possible.  Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, etc......  Has anyone seen this picture before and know the link where I can buy this decal or learn how to paint it myself?  I really do appreciate it guys.  Thanks.

So I just received my Red "White Lions" AIP Bottle, and I have to say, I am very happy!  I posted a couple pics below of the bottle and the gift set that comes with it.  I know there are pictures on Davids website but I went ahead and posted a couple pics anyway.  As you can see the deck inside the bottle comes autographed by David Blaine and the tag on the outside of the bottle is numbered and autographed by Jamie Grant, the creator of the AIP Bottle.  Inside the gift set comes 2 decks.  The one still wrapped in cellophane on the left is the exact same deck which is inside the bottle.  And the deck on the right which is autographed by David again is the from the Rainbow Collection, which is the purple deck.  Obviously, the purple deck does not come in a purple box since it so rare and was supposedly never meant to be sold.  So it is placed in a Red White Lions Box.  Other than that, its basically your normal AIP Bottle you have come to expect from Jamie Grant.  I will say that I am very happy to have purchased it on Black Friday as it was a lot cheaper then, than it is now.  And here I thought I was just purchasing the bottle.  Unbeknownst to me they decided to include the gift set which comes with the 2 decks.   THRILLED!!  Nuff said.

Hey guys, I'm interested in furthering my knowledge in regards to the classic pass.  I know there is so much information out there related to this move.  So I was curious if any of you guys have purchased any books or DVDs that you found really helpful with with this technique/move, that you could recommend to me.  I know Jason England has a download on T11, Alex Pandrea has his Brick Pass DVD, etc.... Any recommended material would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks guys.

Introduce Yourself / Hey, nice to meet all of you!
« on: December 03, 2011, 11:43:13 AM »
Hey, whats up guys.  My name is Adam (but my friends call me "Knobz" since my last name is Knoblich) and I am from Chicago, IL  Just a brief story about how I got into magic and playing cards.  I got started in magic when I was about 8 years old.  Loved watching the magic specials they would have on TV back in the day starring David Copperfield, Max Maven, Bill Malone, Penn & Teller, etc...  Got my first magic kit from toys-r-us (crazy how I remember this like it was just yesterday) and started by amazing my family.  The internet wasn't too crazy back then so I got started in card magic by renting books from the library.  A few years later a  man by the name of David Blaine had a TV special and after watching it, it changed my life with magic forever.  David really impacted me with what he was doing on the streets with people and from then on I never looked back.  My passion is card magic but lately I have been trying to incorporate a variety of closeup magic.  This way I have a little bit for everyone and I basically just make myself stand out a little more than just a card guy.  I consider myself just an amateur/hobbyist magician.  I am too busy working 2 jobs and going to nursing school to go professional or anything like that.  Magic and Medical are my passions right now, so I'm working on trying make time for both them (hate to say it but medical is taking all my time).  I also started collecting cards a few years ago.  My collections has been growing substantially this year while my wallet has not.  Go figure that.  So I'm sure you guys will start seeing more of me on here.  I just became a member a few days ago and have already learned some things about playing cards and am now a backer for the Vortex Deck, which I am exited about!  I love playing cards so I'm sure I will fit right in.  Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this. I will see you guys on the forums : )
