Day off today.  I had a chance to hang some new displays and rearrange some old ones.  Picked up the new displays through Sparkz' discount via CPC.  Thanks again Tony.  Thought I would post a mess of pics for your perusal.  The pics aren't perfect so feel free to ask questions if you can't make out something.  I am aware there is some junk on display, they are more or less placeholders so the cases don't look empty.  Sorry in advance for the double post I'm splitting the pics into two posts.  Enjoy... or ignore.  Thanks.

Done. Thanks for the contest.

An absolutely lovely representation of the Jack.  I'm not sure if it was intentional but if the left shoulder/side is inverted an met with the right shoulder/side it creates a rudimentary spade pip.  If it was intentional kudos.  If not then perhaps it could be continued throughout the courts.  Either way lovely work!

Short answer is no.
It was put to a vote recently.  Most of the stalwarts over there voted against the merge.  There is plenty of room for both forums to coexist.   They do some great stuff over at UC.  And we do some great stuff here.  I agree the content is pretty much the same but the personalities are different.  I like both the forums but I call this one home.  I read every post from both sites every day but I'm a bit mental.  Just find what you dig and run with it.  You're welcomed in either spot.

I didn't get mine either.  Seemed a little fishy from jump so I only ordered 1.  Emailed them a while back and didn't get a reply.  Purchased one from another seller since.  Pretty sure We're never gonna see them.

You posted this two hours after it had ended :(

Couple words of advice if you like to get in on deals...

1) Register for updates on as many magic and card websites as you can.  I have found that in general they don't spam you, just update you on new releases and the deals and discounts.

2) Also in case you don't hit every site, dig into your preferences on this site.  You can set it up so you get an email every time someone starts a new thread.  This has got me out in front of some deals in the past.  You would think this would beat up your inbox but surprisingly it doesn't.  I would say that there are, on average, 1 or less new topics started per day.  I'm sure a mod could provide harder numbers here.  Somedays I get three new topic emails some days none.  The email gives you only the title but it's usually enough to discern if it's a deal you're interested in as well as a link.

Good luck.

1) One MAJOR exception to this is Dominic Reyes/magicshop.co.uk - if email came printed on toilet paper, I'd have a lifetime supply just from him.

2) You actually DO that?!?  Damn...

Sure do Don.  I don't get on the forums while I'm at work but I do check emails pretty consistently.  Being aware of new topics is a nice way to keep up with things as mentioned above.  If its a topic I really want to investigate I'll jump on real quick.  Otherwise I read every new post Just about everyday after work, Yikes.

They're nice enough.  I may pass if they're using MPC.  I dig the court style, like the font.  I'm kinda not feeling the faded background on the faces of the cards.  I don't know if maybe it's been done too much or it just doesn't appeal to me.  It just seems to muddy things up from my perspective.  It's also possible I'm beginning to just like classic faces with custom backs and courts.  I'm thinking more isn't always better.   I don't know, just my thoughts, I could be stir crazy and babbling from the snow.  Again, pretty nice design.

I don't open the majority of my decks but here are some pics of the tuck.  Also the anchors on the back and everything on the front is embossed.  I'm not sure how it looks in the picture but the seal is gold.  Long side of the tuck is repeated thus only pictured once.  Hope that helps.

Deck Reviews! / Re: Battle 63: Aviator vs Streamline
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:07:20 PM »
I have a soft spot in my heart for Aviators.  When I was a kid I remember my grandparents always had them on hand for all the card games they played after Sunday dinners.  For this reason Aviators were also the first Tax Stamped decks I bought.  I agree with Don that the Streamlines do have a nicer back but again Aviators have a special draw for me.

Thanks massy.  I'm still waiting for Mike from BMPokerWorld to get more of the deck displays in so I can hang the most of the collection on the wall.  I've been waiting months now.  Ugh.

Collectableplayingcards.com has the same thing in stock and cheaper by about $30.

I ordered that day as well Phantom and mine haven't shipped either.  I assume it's everybody.

You would think that the infusion of, for instance, the Bicycle brand in the mind of the common person would be a point of pride for them.  I understand if others were printing their trademarks but in the previous examples USPC is refusing to print it.  I don't think Kimberly-Clark gets upset when someone asks for a Kleenex.  Just seems counterproductive from a business perspective.

Stamped my feet, cried like a baby and took my ball and went home when he made them 1 way backs...  Only to jump back in at the last minute.  There's one of me born every minute.  It's just interesting enough to own IMHO.
