Playing Card Plethora / Re: Love Art Playing Cards designed by Si Scott

Yes, the Lancer deck was theirs. I have a few of those in my collection.

I believe the No Name deck was theirs also.

The password isn't too hard with a bit of a bit of research. The ebook for Gnostic Deck guide is 30$. I didn't buy it, but I find it fair with other magic books out there and especially with the work that went into it. It's cool that the Gnostic has these hidden stuff and what not making it not just a straight semi-custom deck. There's also force, invisible and a "T.O.D." Gnostic deck.

Research, sure - but where to look?

I just leaned forward and looked on my coffee table.   :)

It's a spare bathroom.  The shower has been used twice in the three years I've been here.  I did consider it but it shouldn't be an issue.  Thanks for the suggestion though Don.

That does look great.  Just be careful about how humid the bathroom gets.

Keep a sharp eye on your Queen for any possible damage from moisture or mildew.

(Say THAT in the wrong bar and it can get you into a fight, really fast!)  :))

This is my only non deck purchase through 160 some odd KS projects.  Just got it back from the framer after they applied the wrong color matting on the first go round.  So glad I pulled the trigger.  She is stunning!

The Conversation Parlor / Re: Generally, one to open and one sealed?
« on: July 20, 2014, 06:22:54 AM »
Generally speaking that is true.  One to play and one to stay unopened.  And of course your unopened ones you want to put them them in a nice big display case....

Happy to see my collection making a cameo in this thread!  When I first started collecting I would buy 2 of everything.  I stopped that pretty early on.  I only get duplicates of deck I really like or would want to use.

1) Generally if the project is working in a currency outside the USD it will not go through Amazon but directly through your CC.

2) At the close of every project you will receive a basic survey through KS.  It will require, at the very least, your mailing address.  Some projects run another survey through an outside service such as Backerkit or Pledge Manager.  These services would often allow you to add on more items after the project closes.

Hope this helps but feel free to reach out with any other questions.

EDIT: The only dumb question is the one you don't ask!  Feel free to PM me if you are embarrassed to ask something in a public forum.  I enjoy helping out the Noobs the best I can!  Bear in mind though that these questions and answers may serve someone in the future if posted in public.

+1 for Mydnyghte!

I have no idea of the ins and outs of photography.  I would agree though, it's just the way the picture came out.

34
That pic is directly from the Legends PCC website.  I went and looked right after it was posted.  Lat picture of the carbon clip.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Colonial Unrest Coming Soon on KS
« on: July 03, 2014, 08:47:04 AM »
Stretch goal for second deck.  Your brand is growing and so is the collecting community.  You might make it to the stretch goal.  If, however you don't, then run another campaign.  Colonial Unrest V2.  You should be able to complete your vision, either way it washes out.

I'll just drop this thread off here as a comparison of this theme...

All the best on the project but, as has been said, it's been done or is in progress.

38
I just can't pull the trigger at that price Don.  I have one in my cart on their site but I wanted to give the forums a shot first.  Thank for looking though!

39
Likewise, Tony.  Thank you.

40
Looking for one of these.  PM me with your asking price.  Thanks all.

Edit: I can offer trades as well.  You name it I probably have it.  Unless its Sharks!  :-[

+1 for Xela.  Picked up some stuff from Alex recently.  Timely delivery, well packaged and great communication.  A pleasure.

42
Great display Tony.  Excellent work!

Got my Zeniths and they're lovely.  Plenty of pics here so I'll share something else.  All the decks pictured are duplicates except for the Multimillers and the Black Bee Cardistry, but this was such a nice haul to come in one box I thought I would share it.

Jack of Spades

Thanks Rob!

+1 for Mike Ratledge.  Picked up a brick of Black NOCs from him.  I got them through UC but I see no reason why I shouldn't cross pollinate a positive buying experience since the gentleman frequents both forums.  Great work Mike lightning fast and well packaged!

Very nice collection Afrank8 we all start somewhere and it's not the quantity it the quality.......which is determined by you  ;)

Well said Sparkz.  Afrank8, as long as your collection makes you happy then it's the best collection that exists!

I don't think its a matter of how many decks, it may be more important to dodge the Big Dogs as best you can.  It is however, I think,  a good idea to have just about all your art done prior to launch.  Also your project has to be cleared by KS first and that may not be immediate but may require some back and forth.  There are people on here that know a lot more about this than me but these are just some "tips" based on your questions.  You may want to reach out to Don for some direction or PM some of the designers on here.  They may or may not be willing to help you out.  If you already knew all this then never mind, please carry on.

Thanks for all the Love guys!

The displays with the hinges on them are Hockey stick/Golf club display cases I bought from a local craft store.  I cut shelves to fit and added shelf supports.  I like the way they turned out.

Funny you would refer to it as a veritable Museum Tom.  That's exactly what I call it when folks come over.  Most of my friends don't see it that way though. :)

49
Thanks a lot Jay!  I can finally get the poker table back into proper use.  Oh and awesome job at the collectors meeting the other day.  Looked like a blast!

50
And the rest...

Thanks.
