Should be soon, we've seen pictures of uncuts so there's no point putting those up except to draw attention to the release.

Ditto!  :D   I can't believe I didn't find these forums earlier! Darn. All those rare cards that I missed will be hard to include in my collection now  :(

It's drawing attention, but those uncuts are uncut proofs, not normal uncut sheets.  The deck hasn't gone to production yet; it's still in the pre-production phase, from the looks of things.  Read IAmTheChin's post on this a few posts back on this topic.

I don't think anyone knows when they will be out. They haven't even been printed yet. USPCC is backed up on orders.

hahahahahaha that picture literally just made my night, but these cards are indeed beautiful.
I've been itching for these to come out for awhile! I usually only buy one or two of each deck, but I'm considering buy a brick of these depending on the price. The only time that ever happens is when I absolutely love the cards, and I have to say this has been one of my favorite deck designs in a long time.  :-X

I agree. Very elegant and ingenous to say the least. I was actually thinking of something similar on my deck in regards to the setting it beside each other and it'll form a different design but oh well, back to the drawing board as they say.  ::)

I feel really stupid..  I have no idea why I thought they didn't use plates to print cards...

But Seasons Playing Cards posted a pic with this note
"Why do the colors look like that? Wait, that's not a card. It's a metal sheet from the factory"

Hey Alex, if someone is never going to make another print of a deck.. can they get the printing plates???

I would really like to see a full metal plate of a card. I've never seen one before.
And man that deck looks better and better every time I see it! The detail makes me drool  ???

That's awesome news!! The metal plates makes sense. I have many of those from big news stories. I have a friend who works in the printing part of my local newspaper (The Oregonian) and if I ask him for a plate he usually can get it for me! They really are awesome. I'd be guessing it's similar to those used for cards.

But would it cause legal issues? I mean the person who buys this metal plate can very well take it to another company and print more decks right?

I don't think it would be that easy for them to do. There is more of a process they have to go through and USPCC plates might not fit other companies machines. Although I don't know any of that for a fact.

The decks look great...

Following along the plate theme... Here's a plate from an early 1900s Rider Back... I thought it was pretty cool...

Cool picture! Thanks for sharing that. It's always cool to see some of those pictures showing the history of cards and how far they've come. I'd be guessing that USPCC keeps the plates in some sort of vault (on file). I doubt theyd give them away, sell them, or get rid of them.

I agree, I don't think they'd give them to anyone. Its probably very important that they don't.

USPC would keep the plates, I imagine - if it was their design and product.  But Seasons is just a job for them.

I would wager there's more to making a deck with another company than simply handing them the old plates.  For one, those plates don't last forever - they get worn as they're used, losing their image sharpness.

Hmmm, what if people are starting to collect plates.
The most rare products involving playing cards.
