  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

It's a shame that this was made as a marked deck, while at the same time being intended for playing a specific card game with it.  Doesn't that basically invite players to cheat?  Marked decks are better for magicians, not games.

These playing cards are intended to be useful on all their features without affecting their functionality between any of them. Loteria is played with their open cards visible to all the players, for which the marking system does not play a roll on this part, so in that sense you can't cheat.

Plus, while playing any other conventional game, like poker, you wouldn't be able to read them at distance. Marking system requires  a short distance between the card and the eye-sight to be able to read it.

Hope this helps to clarify your question.

Cheers,

If a marking system can't be read at arm's length, it's no good to anyone, really, magician or card player.  Observing cards too closely would be a sign that you might be using a marked deck - especially one that's not well marked.
