Hey guys, I'm going out of town for about two weeks. I'll be back on the 4th of January. Until then, you may notice my presense dwindle a bit. After spending the last six months or so tirelessly working on the site, the deck, moving into a new place, and dealing with school, I've spent little to no time with any of my family. I'm going to try and rectify that this month. :)

I'll be in NYC from Christmas until Jan. 4th, and in Phoenix today through Christmas.

Unfortunately I will not be able to ship out the Holiday shipments until I return. They're packed and ready to go, but I don't have access to a car as I previously though I would, and the closest post office if several miles away.

Don, I will be bringing your package with me to NYC, and we can meet up for lunch or coffee somewhere on Queens Blvd.

Everyone else, I greatly apologize, and to make it up to you I will be including a free deck of Rider Backs with every purchase.

For my other sales thread, I will process all payments and begin shipping out orders in 2012.

I will also be doing a sweep through unpaid pledges and sending out invoices in the next week for the Vortex deck.

I think that about covers it. CBJ, Curt and Victoria will be moderating, and Peuan will be around to deal with any tech support questions. I should still be around somewhat often the next week, but after that I won't have wi-fi, so I will only be able to access the web off my phone.

Happy holidays everyone!

Sounds good buddy.  Enjoy your time off with your family.  Family is always more important than a new deck of cards.  Your family will always be there for you when you need them. Merry Christmas!!

However did you guess?

You kinda need money for that, though (otherwise you'd never meet anyone; plus, if you live far enough away from each other for travel costs, never mind the expense of dating etc.  Love is expensive).

Enjoy your vacation Alex!

I think it's safe to assume there will be no major catastrophies in the discourse, even with your absence. Looks like you will be back just intime to celebrate my birthday here on the discourse (jan 4th)

Enjoy your time with your family, you deserve it :)
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

Just for the record (and I say this to America in general), the expression is 'hold the fort', not 'hold down the fort'.  Forts are often quite heavy and the risk of them floating away is completely minimal.  As such they do not need held down.

Would you just chill out?  :)

"Hold down the fort" is an accepted American variation of the expression.  Could have something to do with the idiom about holding down a job.  No one said language always follows a logical path.

Just give it enough time - soon not only will Brits be using it due to overdosing on American TV and movies, but they'll also stop spelling color and favor with a "u"!

Well, I have switched to coffee from tea but still.  I get your point, language evolves etc. but if the cause of that evolution is a mistake someone made, can't we all make an effort to fix it?  'I could care less' is the absolute worst.  This man explains it much better than I could;

Oh, you mean like how the British took the singular form PEASE and altered it to become the plural form PEAS, thus creating PEA by back-formation?

Haha no need to get snippy now.

"I could care less" is simply incorrect and makes no sense, but "hold down the fort" can easily be thought of as employing the use of "hold down" in a metaphorical sense like to keep control of.

"Hold down the fort" makes no sense, but "hold the fort" does? I'm certain the fort won't try to escape.

C WUT I DID THAR?

By the way guys, I'm doing fine aside from this dragon I've just slain. With my buddy's bare hands, mind you. Let me just say, they're burned to a tasty crisp, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make.
