Playing Card Plethora / Re: De'vo Blades: Blood Metal Edition
« on: March 15, 2012, 04:02:28 PM »
Just found out that the 5 new products will go for sale on Friday, March 23rd and will ship out on Monday, March 26th!

"We just heard from the USPC and our Blades are ready to ship to our store. If all goes well, we plan on having our largest release on 26 March 2012. Due to scrap rates, we will have a very very limited amount of regular Blood Editions which we may or may not make more of. We will offer a very special 3 deck Variety pack for only $19.99 and a 6 deck variety pack for $39.99 having 1 or 2 each of our 3 brand new decks - Blades Blood Edition, Blades Blood METAL Edition (Silver Gilded) and our hilarious "Pro-Cardistry" deck(April Fools). The LIMITED EDITION Blood Wood XCM Boxes and Blood Porpers will also be for sale. Don't miss our largest release in history! A full trailer showing the products will be released on 26 March prior to the items going for sale. We can't wait to show you all the greatness!" - De'vo

You just posted that on every De'Vo thread. There really is no need to post it everywhere. Try not to do those double and triple posts please. I don't think anybody is a big fan of it

I had seen the joker picture before but didn't know there was more to it than just that! Thanks for the pictures CBJ! I really like the design of this deck. I think it's overall got an amazing design and it looks really cool. I would definetly pick up a fwe of these if they ever sold them. I doubt they will though. It would be nice to see rounded edges as well. Overall I love this design!

Yeah I also got the fantastique vibe. So are those three different backs...? I'm still a little confused. Overall though I'm not a huge fan. Like M.A. said there is too much going on. Although I'll be interested to see more.

Fluorescent green? Is this the pastel green deck? It'd be nice if you could show the box.
If it's the pastel green, then it's a set of 3, with the other two decks being pink and blue.
The Yellow Rider Back does not belong to this set.

Yeah is that the pastel green deck? I'd love to know what deck it is so I can check those out. They look bright AWESOME! It'd be cool to see the box like @zero said.

@Alex at that price if I liked the art enough I would for sure buy one!! I still think it's a good idea to leave it off the Kickstarter. You've got me really looking forward to this!  :D

S&M is a real legend of cards :P

I can't  wait for V7 too

You didn't read a SINGLE WORD of what I wrote to joshzachmatt about "me too" posts, did you?  ::)
@Labyrinth I agree. It's probably the most well known series of late. I'm looking to forward to v7 as well. I wonder if they will throw us a curve ball at with this version  ???

@Don, it's not a huge deal. Sure a lot those posts are annoying but there's not need to police every single one. If it gets out of control... sure. But right now it's not hurting anybody. Let the boards flow. If it gets out of control then I'm sure the mods will step in.

hmmm... it's hard to tell what I think about this company from what little they have to show. They could be one of the next greats or they could be just another wanna be hopping on playing card bandwagon. I'd like to entertain the thought that they could be great though :) We'll see.

this deck is release by the blue crown ?? i think it will be sold at the house of playing cards

The HOPC is by the BC.

That's a good point though. I wouldn't be surprised to see this be the maiden product of the HOPC. That would make a lot
I thought HOPC was a whole different project. I don't think they are planning on selling any decks there. I think they will be selling some sort of services or help/advice there. JMO
of sense. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Wasn't it mentioned by BC staff somewhere on here that the deck will be different somewhat from the images that were posted?  I'm thinking a deck with so much IP from so many different companies would be difficult to impossible to get cleared by all the copyright/trademark holders.  If it did go through, I don't think it would be cheap for the exact same reason.

Yeah they did mention that. It will be a similar style I think. So the pictures give us a good idea of what to expect style wise.

We'll we have no idea really. I think they will sell decks though.

Guys i was surfing around the net .. and guess what i found ?? a video about the april fool deck which is known as pro cardistry deck .. this video is sort of a teaser trailer etc .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDJJlvbDkJ4&list=UUqp_RqDpNAQlQOTrHCcgEbA&index=1&feature=plcp

Kind of funny video haha A little weird but hey, why not have some fun right? It didn't really get me excited for the deck or anything. I would have been shocked if they had showed the cards!

Thanks the link!

I'm not in the States so I wouldn't know. But they're sold at Walmarts as far as I know, from people's previous posts.

Yup totally right! They are exclusive to Wal-Mart. They can be tricky to find though since they don't seem to stock them on the shelves. The are often placed in odd locations or by the check out lines. Goodluck finding them!

@Don gave me the same advice on finding them and it really helped. He was right they were right by the checkout but not on the playing card/game aisle!

63
I don't know about you but i can't find this at my local wal-mart . >:(

The ones I found at my Wal-Mart were by the check out stand but not in the card aisle. You might want to keep that in mind next time you check. Just an idea

It's cool because it's a new back design. I like it! Will it only been available in magic decks or will they have a normal deck as well?

Yeah Tallys for sure! Great cards that get overlooked a lot. They can be hard to find depending on where you live. For Don it's easy since they stock them in his area (I'm pretty sure haha) but I can only find them online, not anywhere near me.

Besides that bikes are always great! haha (the most obvious other answer ;) )

Have yet to pick up the first edition but now more inclined with a 2nd version, lol. I love the idea and the 1st edition is pretty sweet!
http://www.merchline.com/brc/productdisplay.11237.p.htm

Yeah it's a sweet deck!! I have both the first and second deck and they are both beautiful and feature some incredible art. They are two of my favorite decks. The cards are meant to be looked at but that's about it. I would highly recommend picking them up :)

I'm just about to place my order. In total it will be $170 for 13 decks. I wad originally only gonna get 7, but due to shipping, it isn't that much more expensive with discounts and shipping so I decided to get 13, which totals to about $13 a deck, which really isn't bad if you think about it.

Plus I am getting three signed decks, and I got inspiration from (I believe it was Digipunk, but for the life of me, I can't find where it was said, so correct me if I'm wrong), and I asked him to get one of the decks and sign the box, date the bottom, sign the jokers, the AOS, the ad cards, and the gaff cards. Now I usually wouldn't ask for this much, but when I'm paying this much for shipping, I believe this would make it more worth my while in my opinion.

Dang! That's pretty sweet. Are you planning on selling/trading any of them? I know that I might trade a few of the decks I got. I didn't even think about getting anything signed haha. I've never had that done.

@MA - He probably was paying the invoice or they saved his order. They offered to do that for me.
I'm sure if you contact them now since I don't believe they have shipped orders yet, I'm betting you could get them to sign a deck.

Also, I plan on selling and trading in the future, but the main reason I buy so many is because if I end up loving the deck, I will have a lot, so if I destroy them in use I will have extras, but if I were to say buy only one (not to mention that it would be a $40 deck), and if I destroyed it I'd be outta luck, and be forced to buy the reseller price of $25+ a deck.

How are you buying them now if they are sold out?

Precisely what Mr. Baggs said. I have been constantly emailing them do they know I'm still interested, and they are still holding the decks for me.

That's a brilliant idea!! I'll definitely do that! Thanks for the advise. I completely understand what you mean. When I really like a deck I'll usually buy 13 of them. 1 to open and a brick to have as back up (or 7, 1 to open and half a brick as back up). I've only done that with a select few decks though. haha

The new joker is looking better! Will he have a body?

Thanks, and yes we will be creating a clip that has no design but only has the conjuring creaitons art on the spine.  The numbering on the clips were not done by the shop and that was a mes up on there part.  I apoligize for that.

Are there plans to correct this before the clip is released, or will you ship them as they are, unnumbered?

As a last resort - and something interesting - you could write in fine-point Sharpie pen the serial number on the inside spine at one end, and give it your initials at the other for authenticity.  The inside of the spine is the surface on the clip that will receive the least amount of wear and tear or contact friction with other objects.  Unless someone opts to wash their clip, the ink should remain in place for the life of the clip.

Wouldn't the side of the deck rub against that though? Maybe I'm a little confused but I would imagine that the deck would rub against that and it would wear off.
