Playing Card Plethora / Re: Best Court Cards...?
« on: September 12, 2012, 04:32:27 AM »
I love the sentinels' court cards! Those were my first custom court deck and so I have a special place in my heart for those. In addition to that I love the JAQK and Americanas (for their slight alterations).

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Why the Hate for One-Way Backs?
« on: September 05, 2012, 02:59:10 PM »
I prefer  2 way backs. It's just a preference and I like the way 2 way looks as opposed to a one way back.

haha that was almost a rewording of what he said. It doesn't explain why you like the 2 way backs in any detail at all...  ::)

I, as a collector, am not strongly against either back design. I think that the 1 way backs can looks a little disorganized or messy when shuffled (as you mentioned loldudex2). However there are some fantastic 1 way back decks such as the magic con v2. Since I often use my decks for card games I tend to play with 2 way backs since it looks neater and you don't have the problem with 1 way backs being upside down and what not.

So in the end I don't hate 1 way backs and I have many in my collection but it is a less practical deck when being used in magic or at a card table.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: NEW DECK- Silver Monarchs Deck from Theory11
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:23:16 PM »
While I'm not a huge fan of the whole recoloring trend, I will still pick up a deck of these so that I can have the complete for versions of this deck. Hopefully they'll end it here though. The monarchs is an average deck and the recoloring is getting way old.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: White lions series "b" Red

Just a few more hours
9 hours is not a few  :P
An hour = 1 hour
A couple hours = 2 hours
A few hours = 3 - 4 hours
Several hours = 5 - 11
A half day = 12 hours
A day = 24 hours
And so on.......... :bosswalk:

Not to go off-topic, but I'd say that a "few" hours would be 2 and a "couple" would be 3-4. Just sayin'

Anyway, i wonder if he's going to have some misprints like he did before. Who knows?

A couple is 2. Think about it... it's not that hard to figure out.

On topic, I really like this deck. I have one of the series A red and it is a great deck. I'm glad that this series is being sold more readily instead of with the AIP bottles or the DB brick. Looking forward to picking up a couple of these.

« on: August 05, 2012, 02:18:32 AM »
I got myself a brick of these. I loved the series a deck and only had a few of them so I decided to stock up on this series. Beautiful deck!

@Don, The black label is something I'm curious about too! The deck looked stunning. Hopefully it won't pass us by haha

Brown Baggs? YOU'RE BACK!  :D Great to see you on here again.  :)

Although I want the Black label, I also really want the Silver Split Spades. I'm guessing they will be released in a set of two, and will only be available with a larger purchase (like the Red White Lions). I might be wrong about the Split Spades, but I feel the black label decks will almost definately be "Reserved for David's personal use", with few being available to the public.

Haha thanks guys! My account was all screwed up and I finally got reconnected! It's nice to be back. I think you're right Loldude, those will most likely be hard to obtain unless you're willing to shell out a lot of cash. The only reason I have a deck of red white lions is because of the 100 limited edition bricks he released. Man I would love to get a black label though. I think I would give a nice sum for some of them haha

These have a nice look to them. I like the court cards and the layout on the front of the cards. I like the color of the back, but the design is lacking in my opinion. For the price they are selling them I'll have to pass.

Hey everybody. I'm looking to trade for two (2) of the Bicycle Clot Decks. I've never traded before so I'm not totally sure how this'll work but I'll just give it a go.

Some of the decks that I would be willing to trade are...

Smoke and Mirrors V7
Bicycle Big Gun Decks (Red & Blue)
The Black Crown Deck
Fantastique Playing Cards
Bicycle Revision 1
Mana Playing cards

I don't really know what exactly I'm thinking of for a trade, so I am open to discussing it.

I think that I got it all out there and am complying with the rules :) I'll leave the rest up in the air

This looks like it could be a nice deck. If it is the same as Don's information makes it look to be and it is simply custom I can't imagine it being a hot seller. I would imagine it ending up like the red/black star decks. Nothing super special. Just another re-run of an old vintage deck.

If this deck has something special (non custom court cards or something) that would be pretty nice. I doubt that'll be the case though. Thanks for the sharing the info on this one Evan and Don!

Blast! I miss this one. Sadly I was at work when these dropped. I was hoping to get three. Oh well maybe I'll go post in the ISO section.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: New Deck on Kickstarter - Blue Blood
« on: March 29, 2012, 04:59:01 AM »
I think a border wouldn't look too great on this one. I love the design how it is!!

Too late, the border has already been added. But I agree that without it would be better. Magicians should just learn to do tricks that don't involve reversed cards and choose an appropriate deck for the tricks that do have borders which are most of the decks. I think the white border looks out of place on these, and I feel the same about the Artifice. But, oh well.

I might have to think about not backing these now. The border kind of kills it for me.

Anyone still looking forward to this? there was a post on facebook saying that it should be within another one more month to the release, the post was dated March 18th.

Yeah totally! Like Russell said, this is a must have! Hopefully there aren't many more snags in the process and we can get the decks soon :)

A Cellar of Fine Vintages / Re: Bicycle Singles
« on: March 24, 2012, 04:11:41 PM »
Those look awesome!! I think collecting singles is pretty cool for displaying the backs. Some of those classic backs are incredible works of art and by only having one card you can easily display it in a case. Such a great idea!!

« on: March 24, 2012, 04:06:15 PM »
It's not too surprising to see them at that price. I figured that it would be pretty expensive to get them from resellers, so I bit the bullet and got them from the pre-sale. I can't wait to get them!!

I'll be interested to see how the after market fluctuates once everybody gets their cards and more resellers pop up.

I love this design. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been around the forums or web much, but I am really glad that I didn't miss out on this one. I really love the art on this one! It has a similar style to a friend of mine. It's a nice little reminder. I also love the back design. I'm glad it's USPCC as well. I just backed for a few of these! They are wonderful!!!

Wow those look amazing!! The backs are awesome and I really enjoy the color scheme they used. I've really warmed up to this deck! Fantastic work TBC!

I've been sitting back just watching this whole thing unfold and I have to say that it is quite entertaining. I thought it seemed fishy from the start, but kudos to Kanped and the others for really reveling the truth. I wonder how long this guy will keep this whole thing up...

I just got my Kickstarter order in the mail today!! It took forever but it was well worth the wait. Both the cards and uncut sheet are incredible looking! I can't wait to break in a deck and really have fun with it  :)

I'm still waiting too.. very frustrating.

Okay I thought that I might have been the only one. I have a tracking number and the statuses are no help. It's never updated or anything. Usually shipping within the U.S. takes a week and a half at most. I guess I'll just have to be patient  :P

For those of you who got your decks, how long did shipping take?

My cards shipped over two weeks ago and I'm still waiting, so I was just curious if anybody else had a similar waiting time. Thanks!

So... They're basically tumblr clones? I don't see the point. :-\

Well no tumblr is more of a blog format and this is more of pinning something to a cork board. You can't do text posts and what not. So there is a slight difference. They are pretty close though
