Drawings of naked women are offensive to feminists?  What?

Nudity in general offends these bible-belt psychotics.  I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Go for it; what's the problem?

Awwww... thought I was going to be really useful there.  In fairness, you'd be better off posting programming questions over at StackOverflow or somethig; there's only 3-4 programmers here, I think.

Is anyone else still waiting for their Revision 1 decks?  It really has been a while at this point...

Why would they need to remove the cello to get the seal on?  It's put on the same as any other seal.  I'm pretty sure they'd be sealed in cello.

Heh. I know that symbol on the seal... I wonder why they chose that?

That seems to be his website.  What's up with the prices?  Who would even consider that?

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Fool the Discourse
« on: May 02, 2012, 02:10:46 PM »
So, Penn and Teller: Fool Us was a lot of fun.  I thought it might be fun to expand on the idea with a thread here.  Just upload a video of a trick and see how long it takes someone to work out how you did it (we'll try to speak in code in our answers but you DO have to let someone know when they get it close enough to correct).  I'll keep a leaderboard of the top 5 tricks that last the longest unsolved as long as the thread is active.  What do you guys think?  Sound Fun?

CLARIFICATION: Original stuff only, please.  No breaking copyright and if we work i out because we bought it, too, that ruins the fun.

Looks really cool.  Make sure to get lots of flat-caps and pipes in the court cards.

One thing I've always wanted to see if a hangable display case with hollow plexi doors that fit uncut sheets; that way, you can see both sides of the uncuts by opening the doors so no more worries about framing them.

I think it looks cool so far. The king sort of reminds me of hakumen from blazblue a little, which is pretty dope

Wow, I thought the EXACT same thing.  he's my main.  Got me thinking it'd be cool to get a BB deck, since there's a character for every court card...

Congrats, Don.  These cards look really cool, even if I'm not a fan of the 'line' you get through the middle where they don't join.  I also think there's too much white space in the current back design; it's ink; colour it up!

@Nathan: can you pleeeease stop posting bullshit!!!

Hmm... this in a post that was basically an empty, repetitive rant that contained 17 exclamation marks.  Classy.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit annoyed at how long this is taking but it's not like I'm waiting at the door every morning.  When they come, they come.

I'd love to pick up a couple for $7 and domestic shipping... especially since you'd be shipping internationally :)

In seriousness, though; would you consider selling internationally?  Dunno how much shipping would be, is the only thing, probably $10-$15.

I like big chain stores.  Better prices, good for the economy generally.  Obviously, I'm not happy about monopolies or corruption, though.

I think I recognise a couple of those... one in particular.

Congrats, Don.  Obvious but excellent choice.

Yeah, they definitely seem to be mimicking the Jerry's style with these but I think they'll still come with the same sub-standard stock as all the other Futon's decks (and the plaid backs).  I wouldn't expect the Wynns logos to handle like Jerry's, though?  They are my favourite deck for handling but really?

Bump for cheaper stuff and other changes.

I'll probably go see a few of these but I'm only really looking forward to Prometheus and The Dictator.

I like his style but I hate his pop-culture political nonsense.  I guess I'll wait and see.

Did anyone actually read the KS?  It doesn't have much to do with playing cards; that's a very small part of it.  What it is, is bullshit.  Posters and information packs, that kinda thing.  It's not for us.

I always love to see 4 custom aces rather than just spades.  Looks good.

I went off eBay prices.  Virtually all of those (individual) decks are over £20 each.  When I posted that list, they were ALL over £20 (one guy from Hong Kong has an auction sitting at £16, dunno what the final price will be).

Honestly, I'm cool with my collection and if nobody buys anything, I'm OK with having them sit on my shelf; that's what they were doing anyway.  I'd just rather have the money right now.  Especially for UK buyers, though, some of this is CHEAP.  Believe me, sins, I know what you're talking about and I appreciate you taking the effort to post about it but I have considered that and these are the figures I've arrived at.
