Title: [Sale] Kanped's Playing card shop
Post by: Kanped on April 05, 2012, 01:16:12 PM
Just getting rid of a few extras to make a bit of much needed cash.  I'm using Google Checkout to process transactions; I think you may need to have/make a Google account to pay but you might not.  I can send invoices in the exact same way that you could with PayPal but please bare in mind that I've never done this before so there's a chance you might have to bare with me if anything doesn't work as expected (although it seems very simple and I don't expect any delays).  I'll calculate shipping after every order is placed and before any invoice is sent and give you options where available.  Everything is sealed.  Due to the continually changing nature of exchange rates, I can't guarantee that my conversion into USD is completely accurate and should be taken as a rough guide. Here's the stock;

DJPK (poor quality Bee knock-offs); £1 / $1.59
Blue Rider Back (Erlanger 2009) x2; £2 each / $3.17 each
Karnival Hornets; £5 / $7.93
Smoke and Mirrors v6; £15 / $23.78
Karnival Dead Eyes (foil v2); £5 /$7.93
Blue Crown Set (all colours V2 and Black, 4 decks total); £30 / $47.56
90s Ceasar's Palace deck (uncancelled); £10 / $15.85
Ellusionist Infinity; £6 / $9.50
Gemaco Alpha (Fitzgerald's casino deck); £2 / $3.17
USPCC (not T11) Guardians; £6 / $9.50
David Blaine White Lions (Series A Blue); £13 / $20.61
Karnival Dose (foil v2); £5 / $7.93
Friar's Club (Orange); £20 / $31.70
Shadow Masters (Air Cushion)x2; £6 / $9.50 each
D&D Fantastique; £7 / $11.10
D&D Fulton's Clip Joint; £7 / $11.10
Bicycle Black Pirate; £10 / $15.85
Bicycle 2008 Election (Democrat and Republican); £8 / $12.68 for both

Not too many people on this particular forum work in Pounds currency. Might help to convert your prices to USD, as well as drop you V6 price. I know the Pound is worth more than the dollar and at 19pounds it's like $24...most V6 are going for $12

I'm aware that some of my prices are high for an international market but they're priced to be competitive in the UK market; I paid shipping over here and in order to break even/ turn a profit, I need to raise the price.  In saying that, taking on board shipping from the US or further afield, it IS competitive in the domestic market.
The cards are printed in the US and in order to avoid taking massive losses, I need to compensate for the shipping I originally paid.  Basically, I will have trouble competing internationally and this is also why the prices are in GBP (£ sterling); you may be able to get better prices from other resellers if you're not geographically close to me.  Some of the stuff is hard to get, and that's where the international market comes in.
In regards to the v6, they are getting more and more rare and while you might be able to get them (ever so slightly) cheaper on eBay, most of those are Hong Kong auctions and thus the waiting period for receiving the deck is greatly increased.   I've priced other items similarly in regards to waiting time for European buyers.

Angel is selling V6 for $7.50....ever so slightly cheaper? Not trying to dog you man, but let us not try to blatantly lie about things. Much respect regardless.

What he is saying is that he doens't have a choice, and that all in all this is his only way to not lose money, whether he gets buyers or not. And actually Angel isn't selling them for 7.5$ each, he is selling a brick for almost 8$ each, and individually for more than 8$ each.

I went off eBay prices.  Virtually all of those (individual) decks are over £20 each.  When I posted that list, they were ALL over £20 (one guy from Hong Kong has an auction sitting at £16, dunno what the final price will be).

Honestly, I'm cool with my collection and if nobody buys anything, I'm OK with having them sit on my shelf; that's what they were doing anyway.  I'd just rather have the money right now.  Especially for UK buyers, though, some of this is CHEAP.  Believe me, sins, I know what you're talking about and I appreciate you taking the effort to post about it but I have considered that and these are the figures I've arrived at.

I can understand and support that. I have done the same myself. If they sell, they sell,....if not, no sweat. Thanks for not taking my criticism to heart. 8)

$7.50?!?  That's insanely low.  I got my V6 shortly after the sellout for about $17, no shipping.

I think his prices are fine for the primary market he's targeting, which is the UK.
