Good thing that other Heraldry deck didn't make it I guess.
-
The back design is pretty cool! Definitely unique. I just can't tell if I like it a lot or not :P
-
Wow. HOPC and CCCC are here to stay if you hadn't already noticed. From the pictures, the design appeals enormously to me. Plus, the two way fanning must be fun to take advantage of. I love it.
-
this is a pass for me especially with all the other amazing decks thats coming out
-
Someone with some skills needs to double fan these! My fans look like '52 pick-up' in a fist.

Are all the swirly bits part of the background on the cards?

What's with the bevel/emboss?

What's with the bevel/emboss?
I don't think that's real embossing - it's shadowed in to make it appear embossed, much like on the back of the deck. It's a good sign if even a closeup shot doesn't give that away - looks like some great work.
-
The swirls are part of the background of all the cards, subtle and sexy.
The embossing/shadow/fade is just to show you the edge of the card in the preview.

I think he was referring to the actual pips, values, back design, etc. - the lighting and shading makes them appear three-dimensional. If that's what they look like, I'm glad I ordered them! Even if it isn't, it still looks like a gorgeous deck.

May I ask the set which is selling on HOPC is the same or different version from the set sells on CCCC please? The prices are different...

To my knowledge, they're the same decks. I couldn't tell you why Russell is charging $2.05 more per pack than HOPC.
-
I think it's because they are giving 33% discount on CCC site.
If I try calculate buying as brick at HOPC, one deck will cost around 5.91$.
At CCC if apply the 33% code, one deck will cost around 5.91$ too.
-
HOPC and CCCC have a pricing non-compete agreement. We agreed on a minimum price and won't undercut each other. Our price is higher because we couldn't sell the decks for the 6.95 and have 33% off.
