Playing Card Plethora / Re: Zen and Zenpure Decks - CARC, Expert PCC
« on: June 01, 2014, 12:58:42 AM »
Had a opportunity to see some early prototypes of the Zen and Zen Pure decks when I was in NY mid-April...I cannot wait to pick up some of the Zen decks.  The design of the cards are amazing...but it's the Tuck that really got me excited about this deck.  Going to be one of the finest decks EPCC has put out for sure!  Love Exquisites and Zenith...Zen and Zen Pure will fit right in!

In regards to you brief discussion about Imps v2 (they do have a name...v2 is a placeholder)...they are designed for the card player and/or gambler....and of course inspired by the Wynn & Rounder decks.  The back design is simple, designed for less distracting card play while the faces will serve completely functional for the player.  The box designed is the opposite, complex.  Imps "v2" will be printed with EPCC.

Pretty unique and simple.  I met Benji a couple weeks ago at Magic-Con and was impressed with his cardistry and his design skills.  Very smart and very honest kid.  Happy to see his Kickstarter launched and to see just how well done it is for a kid that is only 14!

I backed it this morning, hope to see this project successfully funded!

Anyone else order these decks from http://www.qualitybeedeck.com and not receive them?  I placed my order back in November 2013 and have yet to receive any decks.  When I emailed about a tracking number they said they'd get back to me with one, but again, nothing.

Just curious to know how legit this is.

pshh...I so heard about these like 2 weeks ago.

There's no room in my skinny genes to fit a deck of cards.

The perfect companion to go with my scarf and beard.

Only kidding.  Seriously though, I really like the tuck box.  The courts aren't my style in a playing card but he's done a nice job of really capturing the theme of the culture.  I think it will do well, if people aren't "too cool" to back it.

Oddly enough I rather enjoy this deck and the previous....I have a few of each.  No idea why they are going for $30+ on eBay (also not sure if anyone is buying them for that).  Another great example of having fun with a deck design.

Boom!  Epic Jackson!    I gotta say, the $99 price tag is so much lower than the rumors I heard

Posting that information is an easy oversight...and probably exactly what Virts wanted to happen in order to generate more hype. The most important thing is not sharing the link that is to be provided in the future and nobody here will do that.

Walk it off Benny, not a huge deal at all...it's just an email.  It's easy to miss these things when there is exciting news in a long email...I may have done the same thing had I not re-read the email.  Look at the bright side of things...we have early access to some pretty great cards.

Happy Holidays.

Wow!  So much for honoring a simple request....not sure what part of "This information is for your eyes only...so keep this information to yourself." is difficult to understand.

Here's another reminder "do not give the private order link when I send it to you"

There is a reason some of us are receiving this email and others are not.  Those of us who were fortunate enough to receive these private emails should be able to benefit from Huron's generosity.

The way I see it...anyone who bought Mystery Decks knew exactly what they were getting...a mystery.  It doesn't matter what the cards are, if you decided to spend your money on a Mystery Deck then you should have zero expectations.  Oh yeah, don't forget about the enormous amount of time I'm sure it took to wrap each deck with paper, twine and the seal.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Legends V2.0 - Metallic Black (CARC)
« on: November 25, 2013, 07:00:43 PM »
Ok, wow!  I really love that CARC has been trying out various manufacturers for playing cards.  This Taipei company has done an excellent job with the Legends v.1 and now the Legends v.2 and Exquisite decks.  They feel amazing, and only get better with use.  The registration is dialed in perfectly, something that we don't quite get with USPCC (although they have gotten a little better with some of the decks I've seen recently).  CARC + Sullivan + Stutzman = Exceptional (and Exquisite)

I'm also really enjoying these Pack Jackets.  I expect this to being a new trend in the playing card markets.

Here are a couple pic I snapped today...more to come.

Thanks Don for bringing that to my attention.  Frankly, I've been so busy with the cards, my full time job and two other outside project that I unfortunately haven't been able to catch up on everything in the forums.  I'd like to think I contribute in many discussions outside of the Imps in the forums and hope that my previous post isn't seen as promotional but rather and update or statement.  As always though, thank you for keeping me in the loop and of course for your support and kind words.

Great photo Sparks!

Hey folks, thanks for all your kind comments and support!    Friday was pretty epic.  Except for the forums, I didn't advertise the site going live to anyone on Friday.  I didn't even give a time really, but wow did it take off.  I'm glad everyone who missed out previously has since gone to the site to pick up a few.

There is a little confusion (based on messages I've received).  Both decks are limited editions, meaning this is the only print of these decks in these boxes.  I couldn't call  the red "Special Edition" an LE simply because they both were LE's.  So once these are gone...they are really gone!

Have no fear, two more decks planned in the Whispering Imps series...more to come.

Just a quick update: all orders to backers have been shipped out.  A small supply of each deck will be made available on www.whisperingimps.com this Friday, November 15, 2013 (along with Uncut Sheets).  Hope those of you on the forum who backed the Imps are enjoying them.

just over half of the orders have been shipped out by now to the backers.  Full disclosure....packing and shipping thousands of decks takes way longer than I ever expected.   I hope some of you in this forum have received them, and they have arrived safely.

If you have photos to share on twitter or instagram...use the hashtag #whisperingimps.  Would love to see your photos.
