I'm having a problem when posting

For some reason, when I try to make a post that has a picture attached, it doesn't let me. When I click the post button, it does nothing for 15 seconds, and then goes to making a new topic, and deletes what I write.

upload photo
use the BBCode embed code for the "large thumbnail" version of the photo you uploaded and copy and paste that code into your message.

The file sizes are too big for imgur. Maybe that's why I can't post it here?

That sounds like it could be the issue. If the picture is just massive, dimension wise, just fire up an image editing program and bring it down to a more manageable size and that should cut the file size down a lot. Otherwise, just save it at a lesser quality jpg.

Ok, so we figured out that problem. Now, I'm having trouble viewing my thread in the Sales section. When I click it, it doesn't load.

Evan, the file size limits are 1,000 Mb per image and five images per post.  If you accidentally exceed that, it does look like the system's hanging on you for a while after which it "rejects" your post.  I had it happen to me once and I figured it out when I checked my file sizes.

Big images don't generally look good in this skin, anyway.  In the previous skin, a big photo wider than the post's width would pop up as a separate window, whereas in this one it enlarges in-post and it forces you to use a scroll bar from side to side due to the fixed width of all posts.

I don't suppose there's something we can do about that, is there, Alex?
