A Cellar of Fine Vintages / Help on identifying deck.

   Hi.

   A friend and collector sent me this picture to see if I could Identifiy and locate the date of release.
   And well, I'm confused.
   The back of the card is tells me it's Banknote Deck. But the center is different than the reprints, so it's not a reprint.
   The tuck box has no references beside what you can see on the front "American Playing Card Company". This reference is odd to me for 2 reasons: I've never heard of it and the AoS says U.S. Playing Card Company.

   So I'm rather confused: can anyone help me to "understand" this deck?

   But they only posted this picture.

   Being a fan of the previous decks, I'm wanting to see more!!

On D&D Facebook page, a new deck was announced: "Meet our newest deck of playing cards, Voltige".

It looks very nice. Can this be the return of the Buck twins to really good looking decks? Let's see.

  "Produced by Cy through Kickstarter;
   Printed on the USPCC, released in 2013;
   Limited Edition;
   Stock and finish: unknown
   52c+2j+2db

   The theme of the deck is, of course, inspired by the times of the Persian empire.
   The design of the cards and the box is totally unique, although the figures of the court cards are strangely similar to some images that already existed. Yet it remains an interesting proposition for a deck. The cards are in brown tone (somewhat resemble the Sultan Treasury), the indices of the letters have Persian characters, which makes them a little confusing but the overall is positive.
   I still have some doubts about the stock and finish used but in general they handle very well.
   Score: ***"

   This was my review posted in January on my FB page (http://goo.gl/HuusGC).
   I'm still not sure, because I haven't any Kem deck, but I could guess that this deck has Kem stock.

Playing Card Plethora / The Zinfandel Deck - by Eric Mana

   I'm very happy to know that Erik Mana is going to launch a new edition of his well known deck..
   After a very good start with the beautiful Mana Deck, according to his FB page, the V2 will be produced after successful funding on Kickstarter.
   The new version name will be Zinfandel, which is a variety of red grape.
   According to the information posted on the page "While we have kept some elements from the original Oracle, we have made some awesome changes with the box and back design including two new colors". One of the colours, I imagine, is the red that we can see on the seal in the picture.
   No more info was released and the date was not announced, so for now I'll wait with great expectations!

According to the photo posted today on FB, it seems that 4PM Designs has a new deck coming: the Legacy Deck, available in red and blue.

Playing Card Plethora / Bicycle Grid 2.0 from 4PM Designs (KS)

   The Kickstarter backers of The Grid Deck received today the final update of the project where 4PM Designs clearly states that a new deck is coming.
   They release this blurry photo of what it seems an uncut sheet of the upcoming deck.
   The first obvious characteristic is that this new deck will have the same theme than The Grid.
   The second element is that it appears that, unlike the other deck, this could be a white deck. I've liked The Grid deck but I think I could like even more a similar deck without all the colours of the 1st deck, which can only be evaluated when more pictures are revealed.
   The third element is the possible name of the deck. I've indicated "The Grid Deck 2.0(?)" because the update finishes with this sentence: "Thank you all once again! Hope to see you all on 2.0"

Hi everybody.

My name is Rui, I'm from Portugal and I am an enthusiastic collector of decks of cards. In my country, decks of cards are not known for collection purposes, so I was very happy to find this page, where I can read about decks and where I can speak and people understand what I am saying, because we all just love those little boxes with more than 52 pieces of paper inside.

P.S. If there are more portuguese members, please write!
