"Next week we celebrate our birthday with a gift for you. Join us Monday when we open it."

Posted on the D&D Facebook page.

Let the guessing begin ...

(Wasn't too sure where to put this, feel free to move this if it in the wrong place)

I hope it's not a large deck of S&M containing four decks of S&M.

It could be anything; I'm going to go outside the box and guess it's a pair of D&D shoes.

An AIP? seems roughly the right size.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

That looks like an awfully big box for an AIP bottle, but who knows?

Yes, a pair of fanning shoes!  Hands tired?  Wanna spice up the routine?  Fan with your feet!  Automatic fanning powder dispenser included!  :))

What I really wish it is would be a free stripper jig, but that's just not gonna happen.

AIP is a reasonable guess - but kinda pedestrian.  I'm thinking it's something more unique than that, and likely something no one has offered before.  Remember, these are the guys who brought court-card coat hooks, hand lotion for card people and invisible bookshelves to the community...  There's little reason to assume that this is a pack of cards or anything that closely related to cards, like a new clip, an AIP bottle, etc.  Hell, it could even be a busker's vest!  I've been dying to find a good one for a long time now.

Haha all jokes aside, I reckon it is decks. In fact, multiple decks (mainly ones they they had high hopes for and couldn't shift very well i.e S&M reprints and October deck) .. It may be that they're going to do what Alex Pandrea did for his birthday at TBC.

I seriously doubt that.  It wouldn't be worth all the fanfare.  Plus, as you said, Alex just did it at TBC - they'll never heard the end of it from him if they do!  The three of them are friends.

I can't be the only one who noticed that the black package and the brown-wrapped box with string on the earlier image are NOT the same size/shape...  The black package, judging from the size of a typical wax seal, is much smaller - about the size of a pack of cards.  What on Earth do they have to do with each other?

Throwing an idea out there, it could be a new Fulton deck. I remember prior to the release of the Clip Joints they teased us with a wrapped package.

I can't imagine it being a Fulton deck so soon after the October Fulton one. I keep thinking it's mystery deck and mystery variety box, but the box is way too big for the variety box.

The wax seal package is a playing card product. Anyone familiar with that new seal and logo that D&D used knows it says "Dan & Dave Playing Card Co." on it and has a hand holding cards at it's center. Not that much of a mystery. It does leave me to believe its this years mystery deck promotion.

Personally I'm a little disappointed we are not going to see the purple smoke and mirror. Call it cheesy, it would have been a hit. Using the exact pantone of Tamariz's purple hat. Sometimes the best products are created accidentally. V7 was meant to be the last, thats not a lie. S&M Special Edition Purple is what the customers want.

Do they do a mystery deck run every year?
I'm new to the card collecting scene so I wouldn't know haha.
But damn, more cool stuff these holidays to completely drain my bank account and then some XD.
I don't know what to get and what to leave :|

Not really, no.

This still doesn't explain that big brown package wrapped with string.  Ain't no way that's a pack of cards, or even a brick.

I don't think that little package has anything to do with the brown package. The brown package is an unveiling for their birthday come Monday. The other package is just a mystery ...

They're BOTH mysteries, when you get down to it...  But at least we know that the black one is a pack of cards.

Maybe it's a magic box set.

A deck, a few books, and some gimmicks. Maybe a DVD.

Thats quite possible. But i just cant see this as a gift from D$D, they just dont do gifts. Perhaps its a lottery of sorts.

Well, "gift" is a relative term to some...  Could be "buy x, get y free," could be the holiday special, but no matter how you slice it, there's likely to be some kind of string attached.  It's a business - would you expect anything less?

So, now we know it isn't a deck. Also, the image with the black envelope is in no way connected to this ..
Since this is more about magic items, maybe it's best suited in the magical cardistry bonanza section?

Done and done.  The deals actually are pretty nice.  I'd love them DVDs, but that's a fair amount of scratch to drop at once.  I'll have to ponder it a bit.

It's definitely a good deal for both, if you're unfamiliar to the material. But if you already own several of the items you're probably better off purchasing what you don't have separately.

Of course.  It would be a waste otherwise.  Well...  You could sell the extra DVDs and save a few bucks or maybe even break even.  Can't do that with the downloads.  Still, it's a hassle.
