ok so stuart edge did this trick. I would love to do a variation of this with my android, but I want to know how he called them. Any magician over hear know? Is it an app?
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

Stuart Edge is somewhat starting to become a legend lol .. I'm guessing it was all staged. He asked someone they know for the persons number, I'm assuming he told them that he was going to play a trick on them.
He then saves the number as "the cute girl next to me"

If you want to use Siri to do the trick, you'll need an iPhone dude, or any other apple product that has Siri and makes outbound calls.

If hes true to his word, then that really is pretty impressive and a true piece of magic.

But I still stand by my comment regardless of what he put in the description.

Either that or he did http://youtu.be/7g__WeIaNIU beforehand

One can say it's not done with shills - doesn't make it true, though.  :))

Assuming he is legit, he definitely didn't do the Scam School trick, though - it would be too obvious to the spectator.

I just wish his behind-the-scenes videos actually showed the mechanics of the trick.  I sampled two out of curiosity - no dice.  He shows what would essentially be outtakes, but no reveal on how the trick is done.

Or maybe he Facebook stalked them. Some people leave their number visible on Facebook, and seeing as though most of his magic takes place on campus, people are pretty easy to locate.
Either way, it was done smoothly. I wonder how many girls felt a bit creeped out though rather than wowed lol

Yeah, the FB stalking angle is possible, but more than a little creepy.  But who puts phone numbers on FB, especially college students?  You'd think they know better.

The more likely answer is that someone either slipped an administrative assistant a few bucks for a few names and ID photos, or the magician used the tried and true method of asking the spectators' friends beforehand and using specifically-chosen targets whose numbers were already obtained.

you would not believe how many people have the number linked to their facebook. Since you can access it via mobile most people do. Using the facebook stalking tips I mentioned in the lol board you could if you knew who you wanted to do this on get the number.

I think the Barnum principle has accelerated with advances in social technologies - now, a sucker is born every 0.004 seconds...  You would think college kids might know better, but then again, I have to remember that most of them came from underfunded, marginally-adequate public school programs...  This is the same college-age generation who, when presented with an unlabeled world map, only one in three were able to identify the United States...
