How's your day going?

Mine? Well, Pretty good, had a good day until tonight. My laptop screen is now broken. . . Now get a disco on screen when I turn it on, So I have connected it to my desktop screen with a VGA cable and that is how I am communicating at this moment. The MAIN problem is school. We use our laptops profusely at school :/

Back to pen and paper for me!

Consider using a tablet instead.  They weigh less, cost less and have better battery life.  A small-screen tablet would probably be perfect for school.

My day's OK, I guess.  I should be sleeping right now.  But I am rested at least, so that's a plus.

People like you need rest Don! :P We went out yesterday and got a new laptop. Samsung that runs windows 8. It's a nice one! Just what I needed. My other one will stay connected to my screen and I can play games on that one.

I got to try to drive 2 hours to audition to work as street magician at an amusement park. Car broke down half way, got to walk 2 miles to hang out at a book store and then ride an hour in a tow truck.

...but you got the job?  :))  A two-hour commute to work would be murder, trust me - unless, of course, you're planning to move closer to the park.

I'm a Mac user, but even Windows worshippers I know can't stand Windows 8.  It looks more like a tablet OS than a PC OS.  Great for some, I'm sure, but for business types and others who run complex software, it's like moving from a roomy full-sized V6 sedan to a cute little toy car that seats two on a good diet day and has trouble going up even shallow hills.  It's more for the consumption of media and games than the production and processing of data, from the impressions they're giving me.

What are your thoughts on it?

I was not able to make the audition, and it would be for a couple weeks in the summer. I have a friend that could house me while I was up there.

Well, that does sound about right Don. I am mainly using it for run around at school, word processing, etc etc. But there are a few cool things. I just find it much easier than the previous windows 7 funnily enough :L

I got told today that I'm absolutely fantastic at my job, and then got offered a job by the person that paid the compliment! Considering its my families business that I work for, I don't think they could afford me. So I politely turned it down.

Still, awesome day, time for beer now!

Had another wonderful ski day out on the hill. A bunch of friends from Hawaii are up on the mountain for the week, so it's basically one dinner party after another, which is awesome. Catching up on a bit of homework here and there and just trying to have a relaxing afternoon.

I still laugh when I think of Win95's Start button.  You didn't use it to start the computer - you used it to shut it down!

My day's going all right.  Spend most of it sleeping.  Did go to the doctor's office - I have a surgery Wednesday next week.  He's doing some repair work in my sinuses and I'm told I'll be breathing clearer than I have in probably the last twenty or thirty years...

I think mine might of as well... unfortunately I was at the gym when the mail came by... and for some reason they decided to not put it in my mailbox. Oh well, i'll pick them up tomorrow, I am just happy they arrived so fast.
