I have recently noticed that my deck boxes are being "sliced" from the top of my porper clip, how do i prevent this from happening further?

Will post pictures of what i mean soon.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

You should sand it anyway, take some sandpaper or even a nail file if you have to and sand the edges until they feel smooth and not scratchy.

They DO!?  Mine didn't either, but that was the first thing I did when I got it anyway, the clips come from a metal factory, so it might have some sharp edges, just rub them with a little bit of 300 grit .  Even after I open a deck, I open it with the pull so that I can keep the cello on it, it definitely helps keep the box in better shape.

The arcane porper clip has the cut out ace and the edges are shaped in a sharp way. No matter what, its going to mess up the box a little.

That's good to hear! :)

The main reason why I don't use card clips is because I like to keep my decks in mint condition - obviously clips protect the deck more, but from what I've heard, they can damage it pretty badly too. And a lot of the decks in my collection are embossed - another thing that card clips would ruin.
Either way, I usually keep my decks at home. There's no need for me to get a card clip!

Ahh Lushbob, you must be a collector, do you perform magic?
I keep my collected decks in a glass case, they don't leave the house either, however, I have copies of a lot of my decks that I perform with, as I'm sure many others here do as well.  In this case, the card clips come in handy.  For years I just put the box in my back pocket, a deck would last me like a week.

Haha, you got it - I'm primarily a collector. I do enjoy performing magic and I love cardistry, but I don't perform it publicly. Or really, to anyone besides friends and family.
It's also difficult because I'm so careful with decks that I don't want to wear them out with magic and cardistry, so I end up using Bees, Tallys or Bicycles. I'm not complaining - they're still nice decks, regardless of their 'standard' nature. But I'd love to be able to get some custom decks to wear out.
In fact, I might be ordering a brick of Emerald Artifice soon, so I'll be able to wear out a couple of them. :)

I performed with basic Red and Blue riderbacks for years.  It's how I built myself as a magician.  I bought a custom every now and then, but I only took the basic bikes out to play.  Then about a year and a half ago I found white arcanes and fell in love with them, since they I've been switching around what deck I use for performance.
