Title: ISO 52 card German suited deck
Post by: Gargoyle on January 26, 2018, 12:51:45 AM
Discovered German playing cards a few days ago and have been looking, but can only find decks of 32-36 or so cards. I'd like to get into card collecting eventually, and to get some of those to play games with, but currently I'm just looking for a standard poker-type deck of 52 or (preferably) 54 cards using the German suits (bells, leaves, hearts and acorns) for casual play.
Looked on the TaroBear website and found poker decks with German artwork, but French suits. Is this the closest I'll find?
edit:meant to post this in STISO but messed up...
sorry...

This is the only 52 card German suited deck that you can buy:

http://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/stukeley-redheads-deck-1.html (http://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/stukeley-redheads-deck-1.html)

It's a reproduction of one of the earliest German-suited decks and was likely designed with just 48 cards. The creator of this deck, who posts here, added aces and jokers for modern convenience.

Thank you so much! Was starting to worry I'd have to get one custom made... which I'm not opposed to, but would be more than I'm willing to do right now
