Title: Custom Martial Arts Inspired Deck - Feedback?
Post by: MrMagicMan on November 25, 2017, 04:32:22 AM
Hello all! I've just recently restarted an old project of mine to design some cards. Honestly, I just want to see which colour schemes you guys like although I know it is subjective and if you have any feedback on the design. It's a martial arts inspired back design and will eventually have custom faces as well. If you want to follow the progress of the deck please feel free to follow this Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/indomitable_playing_cards/ I plan to hopefully start a kickstarter in 3 - 4 (or however long) months for it once artwork is complete and have done sufficient marketing. Any feedback would be appreciated even though I know the back design is only a fraction of the whole deck.

Thank yoooooouuuuuuuu!  :D

Just a couple of ideas for a court card design. How does it look? Suggestions?

It's not a bad idea, really.  I like the concept for the back design, but think you should go for a more artistic court card rather than the simple figures used on the card back.  Consider as well perhaps using martial artists in each suit that are from a specific school of martial arts and dressed in the appropriate uniform to that school - for examples, hearts might be in kung-fu uniforms, spades might be in karate or judo gi, etc.
