Looks like a lame, boring and average deck. Sorry to the creator I am tired of looking at the same thing.
The creator is probably the same man who designed all the other Blaine decks as well as the recent "Whispering Imps" project for Chris Chelko - Mark Stutzman.
It's all about one's tastes. To me, assuming the faces are the same as David uses on all of his decks in recent releases, it's a mostly-standard design, only slightly tweaked to make him and his friends and family court cards and he obviously chose to go with a simple, elegant back design for this one-time-only performance. Some people call that boring, I call it a perfect deck for performing magic and cardistry and playing poker. I don't think that David's ever done a full-custom deck, just as how they're rather rare from Theory 11 - most of what they make uses the USPC standard faces, albeit with new coloring. Their most popular deck at present is probably the Monarchs, and those faces are as standard as the summer solstice day is long.
And there's that part about the one-time-only event. For all we know, the deck was commissioned by Microsoft for their little shindig and David was limited as to what he could change about the design.
