Poll

What is your opinion regarding the extra card w/credits?

Regular backs on both, credits on one in small print, AC ad on the other.
Credits on both sides of one in medium-sized print, AC ad on the other with regular back.
Credits on three sides in regular print, AC ad on the fourth.
I really couldn't give a flying fig and have no opinion - do what thou wilst.
I want something different, and I'll describe it in a post below...

Who are the people we send cards ready to be photoshopped to? I need my card made to look nice ;D
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

Well I didn't go crazy, but just wanted to play around with alternative pip placements that wouldn't be appropriate on a "normal" deck :) so here's the Eights I was assigned. Pretty simple and clean, but with some subtle details.

Diamonds - http://cl.ly/Fa1Z
Hearts - http://cl.ly/Fa9E

It reminds me a lot of tendril (that's a good thing)
I really like them though, especially the heart.. it looks very different and creative.

I will try to make the last king tonight. I have a few ideas for cool kings, so I will try to make a few different sketches of different ideas, and maybe we could put it to a vote.

Anyway, who will be photoshopping and cleaning up the designs to make them look professional?

I am unsure about that. I would love to but I don't know how to use photoshop or any other similar program. Randy, Derek and Paul also have a lot of work, so I really don't know.

I recently got the newest photoshop, and I am trying to get really good at it, to the point of proficiency, but I am not sure how long it will take, and I probably won't get good before this deck is being produced.

Well it all depends on how long this deck will take. Probably a long time since many cards don't even have a rough draft.

Mods, I was wondering if you could make this a sticky or find another way of making it more visible to new members please? Because we need more artists, and progress is slowing down.
Thx,
Nathan

I know what I want to do for my other two cards (Six of Clubs and Six of Diamonds), I just haven't carved out the time to do them yet. I'm on vacation next week but I'll try to get to them when we get back.

thanks, Randy

That's cool. Do you know what I should do to get momentum here?

Hey there,
I am terribly sorry I have not been submitting anything. But right now I am working on it.
So I can give randy something to edit. ^-^ because he is so amazing at this.

Anyway, to get things going we need to have a few people submit some artwork. I will try to get my 2nd draft out in a few hours.

-update-
I was not able to finish the 2 of spades today. :( so sorry.

First of all, welcome to the forums! Yes, you are more than welcome to help out. The members of this project each pick a series of cards which the design: all suits of that card. So, if you wish, you may design 4s, 5s, or jacks, whichever set you would like. Good luck!

On a side note, Derek, Krystle, slyS, Randy, Kensei, Alex Chin, Moon, and loldudex, how are your cards coming along? If you could start finalizing them, that would be great so we could conclude this project. We need two more artists as well. Any help or advice would be suggested.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

There's a HUGE number of posts here, but you should go through them a little to get a better idea of the deck.  The entire deck is intended to be custom from start to finish, including ALL cards, not just the courts.
