I lose interest after the box design. The backs could use better borders as well as shadowing, and the Ace of Spades is bland.

I do love that box though...

It's the card backs that I like on this one, but you're right about the ace... they could have done way more with it

I actually don't mind the design of the ace, it may be very basic but for me it's quite eye-catching, and as the saying goes, less is more. However, the font on the ace really doesn't suit the theme, and that's what puts me off.

Also, I'm not a big fan of extremely repetitive or tessellated back designs - to me it just looks like someones copied and pasted something everywhere and passed it off as a back design, not really taking the time to design a proper back.

That's actually exactly how you make those kinds of back designs. This deck would be branded better under the Bee name in my opinion.

I was just thinking to myself that I actually like backs obthis style and the Bee has the right idea when they do them. I do like the theme and the ace isn't bad in my opinion. I can see myself picking up a couple

I would actually really like this deck if it were borderless; I don't see the point in 'framing' a imple, repeating pattern.

I don't like bordered decks, so I think it should have a much thinner border, like the border on the Vortex deck.

I agree that there is very little point to putting a border around a back of this design...I still really like it and wouldn't mind owning a couple though.

I also like the box design and I don't like the border or the ace, the ace needs color or something. I also agree with Alex that this deck needs some shadowing.

It would be awesome if the flame design were somehow incorporated in the pips... then again, this probably wouldn't be possible to do without looking absolutely retarded :/

Since the images are of reasonably decent quality, I might as well.

Looks like the borders are too thick to be seen in fans.

Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

I have a love/hate relationship with this deck right now. I adore the box, and more or less loathe the rest. I think the back has a lot of potential, and could look amazing if it had the faded effect like on the Stingers, and thinner borders.

I hope the court cards are custom, all the recent decks lately have just been the backs, jokers, AOS. Except for Vortex of course cause Alex isn't lazy.

Well being the god of the sun (and other things) you wouldn't expect any cold colors. So orange or yellow? That seems silly. I would rather see some decks of other gods instead.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

  • Facebook:
It just seems a little too unoriginal for me.  I already own enough decks with slight alterations of colors, and I think that much bright red might hurt my eyes after a while.  I prefer the "security ink" blood reds found on casino decks and a lot of other specialty decks.  Nice back, but I'm not even seeing how that ties into the theme of Apollo.  Wasn't he a Greek god?  Why not a Grecian-styled back?

There's just too many decks better than this to capture my interest.  Maybe when I started collecting earlier this year I would have wanted this, but not now.

You can now get these on acekingplayingcards, although his shipping rates are a bit excessive imo, I mean $15 to ship to Canada when pokerstud52 can do the same from 2/3rds of the price!! bmpokerworld also has them but they don't want to sell anything to me so I am boycotting them and telling everyone else to do the same!
