Just to let people know - I was fortunate enough to receive a prototype deck made by MPC.  The artwork is very impressive - this is worth a good, close look.

Thanks Don.

I got a confirmation today that the prototype made by TMCards will be delivered tomorrow. Can't wait to get it in my hands. Since stock finish & handling is a subjective matter, I will try to see if I can get someone here who can provide feedback on these crucial aspects.

Hit a bit of a bummer guys...Had received the prototype done by TMCards on Saturday. The cards didn't look sturdy enough per my expectations for a 315 GSM black core stock. Cards were not gliding off each other and fans were not happening as they should be. Given that handling etc. is a subjective matter, I took these to folks @ Eclipse Games which is quite close to my home.  They also raised concern about the quality of the stock. I did talk to TMC today but looks like this was the best sample they did for me. That said, they did get a few things right like color reproduction is very close to the artwork.

Divine Art was done for collectors who will feel proud of this deck in their collection for the years to come, so I can't compromise on quality. I do understand that quality is relative for some, but I think I've got things clear to me now. I did take a leap of faith for trying to get this deck printed in India and it didn't work for me. I'm thinking to cancel the campaign, but pouring it out here in case someone has any advice for me. I did get prototypes done by MPC, s sample deck by TMCards before proceeding with asking them to produce a prototype as well. I'm not sure what else I could have done better.  I've reached out to Parksons Cartamundi in India but their MoQ is 10,000 which is not feasible.

Last 2 days have been very tough for me. I've compared every single card of this prototype with other decks I've got multiple times. Something seems amiss.....

Note: I've reproduced the same post in UC forum.

I wouldn't use Cartamundi anyway.  Honestly, I have yet to see a really good Cartamundi paper deck, and even the plastic ones can be hit or miss.  I can't tell you how much it irks me that they have the licenses for both Star Wars and the James Bond movies!  I've even spotted TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS on some of their work - totally shoddy and lazy.

You're project isn't entirely dead - it's just on hiatus.  You'll get this sorted and you'll be back on track in no time.  It speaks volumes in your favor that you're willing to shut down the project on Kickstarter because your printer can't give you the quality they initially offered you.  Dedication to quality is sorely lacking in the world today, but not in your corner of it, apparently!

So sorry to hear Sunish :(
Like Don said, your project is only on hiatus and will come back bigger and stronger, especially thanks to your dedication to delivering a product both you and future deck owners will feel proud of.

Thanks a lot for your support.

The campaign has slowed down but I'm trying hard at my end to make it happen. Today, I reached out to a few retailers as well. Let's see.
