Good eye Evan, I'm loving how you keep posting news before any other site gets it!  ;)

I have two of the original Variety Boxes. They included some noteworthy decks but half of it was a giant pile of meh.

I don't own any of those EATCT decks but i haven't seen gold on the boxes, does that mean they could be hinting at a v3 for the EATCT decks?

Evan, since you find all this info before alot of us do see if you can work your magic and find this out.

The EATCT decks have gold on them. So to answer your question, no this is not a V3.

Left to right AFAIK;

Can you post a link to where they say it has nothing to do with the V3 Variety box? Because in the same Flickr album, they have posted the picture which has been talked about in this forum already ( http://aethercards.com/discourse/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=170.0;attach=31;image ). All the decks are the same as the ones labeled as Variety V3 except there are only 9 decks in the new picture.

Nine months? It could only be one thing, they've been developing a set of magic tricks using a baby as a primary prop.

Like a few have said maybe the fantastique deck will be released and in the url above it says, lightbox so maybe it's a cheaper version of the variety box.

I like the idea of the variety box but I think I'd prefer it to be like the 1st 2 editions so you'r not sure what your getting, makes it more exciting, only downfall is you could be very dissapointed.

You can resell decks individually. So, it's expensive. But not $400 SGD .

True true. I am guessing it doesn't actually have to do with cards at all...they said the word "project", to me that means more along the lines of magic trick or something like the wire...I could very easily be wrong though

i remember a lot of people complaining that D&d took down the spring cleaning section of the board earlier this fall. when everyone was freaking out of this a site mod said that they were going to do something big with the forums and the site soon. so maybe its something like the wire, but im feeling its definitely a complete site overhaul at least.

as for the V3 pic in this thread compaired to the other thread, this pic has a cellars deck, the other pic didnt.
have you heard the word???

I remember the v2 box, about $100.
then this maybe cost around the same price right ?? btw the IAOPC on D&D includes the book ? because i feel like buying the box because of the IAOPC deck and on second though i think i just go for the whole set so do you know whether it come with the book?

Edit* the IAOCP is the book and deck if bought from D&D

Ok, D&D has a huge thing going so there should be plenty of material to keep this thread on topic. How much do you think the Fantasique deck will sell for if it does hit public sell?

Its probably because most people just want the deck and not the book.

Then it would be more expensive and people won't buy it.

You know would be pretty sick, is if they released the V7 and made it a stocked deck...the only S&M to be on hand at all times.

For sure! I am digging the "Carbon Fiber". I know it is just another color and no effort went into it...but a new perspective to put on it is...we can now do color changes from green to blue to red to black

The countdown hit zero three times and then reset to one hour left.

Anyways, it's up now. The website looks much better, but for me the coolest thing was the Deck of the Month club...which I won't be purchasing because I don't need one deck of some horrible cheap cards shipped to my doorstep every month. I'd need a guarantee of the values of the cards before I subscribe to something like that! Honestly it should be two decks as well so collectors can enjoy one and save the other.

I love how streamlined their site is now though.

seems like that club thing is the variety pack but you get one each month instead of all at once.

also i love the D&D site what are the good things to buy from them? (should i make this a new thread?)

I absolutely agree with Alex on the 2 deck thing. But Magic, that is what I took from it too, the variety box split up into 12 months. If that is the case it makes no sense and I do not think the V box is worth $100...there is only like 2-4 good decks and you don't even get the Fantasique early....weak

collecter box is quite expensive and can only put up to 2 deck i think the variety box will be better and the top is transparent which you can look through
