Not sure if they are telling it how it really is but DnD have said on their facebook that they only have a few left and that they wont ever be re-printing them, they said they think the stock will be gone by the weekend so if your interested go get them while they're around.

They look very nice, I'm not too bothered about them getting mixed up but that's because I only practice cardistry so it wont be a problem for that, nice thing is that you'll want to get them in order just to flick through them. Thanks for you thoughts.

My Fantastique decks just came in the mail today! This deck is stunning! Another beautiful work of art by Dan & Dave!!

The ace of spades is awesome!! The metallic ink is awesome!! The court cards look awesome!! The jokers are awesome!!

I love this deck more than I anticipated I would! I would HIGHLY recommend that you pick this deck up!

Oh I didn't realise it was metallic ink, did they mention that? In regards to shipping, I'm in the UK so it'll no doubt be a heafty wait for me, really looking forward to them though, one of my favourite releases this year.

Yeah it is metallic and it looks great! I don't think they really advertised it much if they did at all. That seems to be the style of D&D.

I've never ordered from D&D before but US shipments are usually 5-10 business days (so 1-2 weeks) from ship date.

Yes the Backs are different, flip through and you will see animation.

By rare, they most likely mean that a lesser quantity was printed than the V6. Just because this deck does not have the same hype as the V6's did, that might translate to how desirable they are in the resell market. I am just happy to have 4 in my collection, mostly because I really do like the design, but also if they do become highly desirable one day.

not all 52 are different. There seems to be a couple that have the same back, it slows the animation down while you flip through. If all 52 had a different back, it would make the animation crazy fast. As far as giveaways on my new site...more than likely. @Curt, I agree with you. Lesser quantity and maybe less desirable. I was on the fence about this one, but I fell back on the fact that they are D&D and they are in low quantity. Eventually people will look back at this deck and be like "Damn, that was the only deck that D&D put out that was like it." thus making it rare in its own right within the D&D family.

Not sure if this is definately correct but my order from theory 11 for the monarchs has already been shipped, yhis is according to my account order section so it could be a mistake but compared to many this is super fast.

I inquired about it and they told me that the delay had to do with me ordering that hand lotion as well (I thought I'd give it a try; I have trouble with dry hands but don't want to use something too slimy/greasy). Mine shipped out 5 days after purchase....they are now through the german customs and i pray to god that i
don´t have to pay the 19% tax when they arive at my door.

Lol well I wouldn't recommend it to a magician... you could use it for magic but I won't. I'f use it for flourishing to put in my collection

I would definitely pick some up if I were you!! They look amazing, and not only do they look cool, but they are also any extremely unique deck. This has probably been one of my favorite decks I've gotten recently.

Yes, I bought the lotion. The description sounded pretty good and I thought I'd try it. The extra charge is for the limited edition bottle - you can probably get the same stuff direct from the pharmacy that makes it, but I liked the bottle as well. My girlfriend's lotions all smell like, well, a girlfriend.

The nail clippers are actually a good concept - there's a lot of design that went into making something that's an improvement over the cheap drugstore models. I can't say I'd be buying one immediately, but I might put it on a gift wish list or something like that. I doubt you'd turn it down if someone simply gave it to you, would you?

I should be receiving my four decks sometime this week, and am really looking forward to trying them out. Pretty surprising to me they have not sold out yet; I have really come to like the design of backs much more now than I had previously and I am sure people will regret not buying at least one deck after they sell out.

On a side note, I was pleasantly surprised to see that in the D&D store, the "standard" shipping method to Canada is USPS International Priority instead of First Class, which makes it not too bad of a deal considering most places will charge ~10 for First Class anyway.

Just think of it like you would a car. There are tiny economy models, mid-sized sedans, giant trucks, tricked out racing cars, expensive luxury vehicles, etc. Those clippers are like the Mercedes Benz or Bentley of nail clippers. Are they absolutely necessary? Of course not. But do they outperform the lesser models on the market that sell for only a few dollars. They do, if you believe Dan and Dave, and I'm inclined to believe them as well.

I own a mid-sized sedan, but if someone gave me a Bentley, I'd be hard-pressed to turn it down...

Actually D&D don't operate a gift wish list, though E does. You put stuff on the list, send people the link, they see the list and decide on getting you something from it (or not). I was referring more to ye olde skool wish list, where you use some parchment or papyrus with an arcane form of communicating known as "hend-rye-ting" to let someone know what you'd like for an upcoming occasion... LOL

My 2 bricks are now in my hands,maaaan those are such beauties!
The metallic ink on the "red" cards stands really out.
I already played around with the animated back design in combination
with a magic effect.
I have to test the reactions which i will get thanks to the little animation,
but i think that this will add a moment where the magic happens in the spectators mind.

My first impression of handling the cards :
I would say the stock is the same as the Smoke & Mirrors V6.
They fan totally good right out of the box.
The fact that the card backs are different on some cards will not be
noticed in a ribbon spread or hand to hand spread.

First impression rating 4/5
A good solid deck design and quality of the cards.

I don't think the stock is the same as V6... v6 is very soft stock (I believe Aristocrat Stock) and the Fantastique is much stiffer than that. I love them both though!
