Fixed all the aces in the deck with the new Suits.  Relaunch coming soon, most likely in October or late September.

Push the indices higher!  You want them as far into the corner as you can get them.

I agree, when it comes to printing we will look into pushing those higher.

Hey, how interesting would this design be if you made the Outlaw deck an all-black deck...  ;)

Good suggestion Don!  That would be cool, I will have to play around with that.

...and consider this - a stretch goal of a third deck, a "Wild West" deck that fuses the two designs, done in perhaps a gray motif (not white nor black)...

Great minds think alike :) I was thinking about fusing the two decks together for a "Tombstone" Deck , Not sure if I can do a stretch goal or maybe down the road to do a "Tombstone" deck project. I would have the people that were involved in the shootout at O.K. Corral in the deck.  So I would have some of the same court cards but also add a few new ones if possible and then create a new back.

Hey Everyone, I have been working on getting the project ready for Relaunch. I am going with United States Playing Card Company and I have changed the shape of the suits. Some of the feedback is people did not like the shape of the spades. We have changed the shape of the suits. Here is a preview. Thanks, Justin

I had a sample deck made for the Wild West Decks.  I created a black backed card for a "cut card".  I made it black and it looks really good.  I am thinking of making the Outlaw Deck Black instead of my Gold version.    I will probably make some tweaks on the Black Card but this is a rough draft but it convey the card as majority black.  What do you guys think?  Let me know.

Hey Everyone,

Hope all is well.  I had some delays but I am happy to announce that my Wild West Playing Card Project is finally ready to launch in June!  We have completed the art work on the cards.  Each deck will have all custom faces and backs.  The Lawmen deck will depict Historical Wild West law legends and the Outlaw deck will depict Historical Wild West outlaw legends.  Here are a few pics of the face cards and tuck boxes.  Let me know what you think.

I wanted the images of the cards depict the real historical figures but I wanted to still have the "playing card" feel to the portraits.

Little Background on some of the Legends in the deck:

King of Clubs - James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok of the Lawmen Deck of the Wild West Playing Card Project.

"Wild Bill of the American Old West is known for his skills as a scout, lawman, gunfighter and gambler. He was a professional gambler who was involved in several notable shootouts. In 1876, Hickok was shot from behind and killed while playing poker in a saloon. The poker hand he supposedly held at his death has become known as the dead man's hand. There are a few hands that were suspected of being the Dead Man's hand but the most widely accepted was black aces and black eights." per Wikipedia

Outlaw Deck's King of Spades: Jesse James.
Jesse James was an American outlaw, bank and train robber, gang leader and was the most famous member of the James-Younger Gang. The James brothers were most active as members of their own gang from around 1866 until 1876.

Here is the King of Diamonds - Virgil Earp

"Virgil Walter Earp was Tombstone, Arizona City Marshal when he led his brothers Morgan and Wyatt and Doc Holliday in a confrontation with outlaw Cowboys at the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral on October 26, 1881" per Wikipedia

Ace of Spades for the Outlaw Deck!

Using a "holdout pistol" design is an interesting choice - it was favored by ladies and gamblers looking for concealment, but they were notoriously inaccurate, used only as a last resort in a desperate situation.

Nice catch Don, Yes we thought it was something different and I do like to play poker so I thought it would be cool to incorporate in the spade.

Hey, made changes to the Outlaw Back.  Made changes to the guy, the hat, and the scroll work.  Both cards tie in together better.  Let me know what you think and what color you like better.

Thanks,

Before I continue and complete the tuck case, I'm really split on the color-way for v2 of Jetsetter Playing Cards. Green is the standard brand color but blue and red seem really appealing. See attached. Thoughts?

Here's the working color names:

1. Jetsetter (Sign) Green - brand color
2. Altitude Blue - not sky blue but the blue you see when you go higher
3. Navigator Red - the port side wing navigation light is red

I'm really split on going forward with a particular color-way.

I really like the BLUE!
