Title: Royal Secret
Post by: RoyalSecretCards on October 21, 2017, 11:46:08 AM
Hi guys.

I would like to share a sneak peak of my new deck that will be available soon on KS. (There could be variations from this to the final version.)

Hope you like it.

I'm normally not as big on the whole Latin quote thing, but you chose a good one.

The overall design is classic in its style, I'll give you that.  But it is really hard to impossible to evaluate a deck design based only on the card back!  It's like selling a car by providing photos of just the headlights.  More images, please - or at least some clues about the design and theme, like is it fully custom, partially custom, just unique Aces, what about the tuck box, etc.

It's not a bad deck - but it's not a great deck, either.  The back and the tuck are fine, but why did you only customize the Aces?  I'm not saying it's impossible to get a deck made that's mostly standard - magicians use them all the time.  But when you're trying to sell to collectors, they tend to look a little more for bells and whistles; at a minimum, they want customized court cards, or at least a little recoloring - even Theory11 does at least that much to most of their decks and they specialize in the magicians' market.  (Well, that and Barnes and Noble!)

Having said that, you do have one big plus on your side - your per-deck pricing is fairly low, lower than the average custom deck.  So you stand a decent shot at making it.  Good luck!  If you don't pull it through this time, consider at least a little extra customization.
