Hello again! 

Last year we were successful at launching and funding the first Mexican designed playing cards specialized in cardistry and magic in kickstarter. Since that day we have been working nonstop on getting the first version of our deck known in the cardistry and magic community with huge success, so much that people in the community started to ask us if we were thinking about creating a second version of our deck.

That got us really excited, so we decided to improve on the enigma playing cards, we took the feedback that we got at some community events (like Cardistry Con 2017) and got to work.

We didn't want to create another simple recolor and we didn't want to change what made the original deck special in the first place, so we added more features to the deck on top of the feedback our fans gave us.

So whats new?

· The colors (a new torch red and we are using a cherry purple instead of black in the whole deck)
· Full custom Aces (we redesigned the other 3 aces in the same style as the original ace of spades from the Black Enigma Playing Cards).
· 56 cards!

Having learned from our first time doing an IG campaign, we changed and added a lot of new stuff to our original project and most importantly we made the jump to KS.

Right now we are over 30% (we waited a week to get here and promote the project since we were part of the original KS Mexico exclusive launch)

We changed the box (which was one of the main complaints last time), added full custom court cards and we will have some extras in the form of a marking system for the magicians and some extra features for magic.

We also made the deck cheaper.

  We are using EPCCs recent Spot UV process (present on the very recent Superior Skull & Bones) for the new box, its going to be black on black (Replace the white on the image for a glossy black over matte black).
  
  The Enigma Logo and the Eye will be done on silver foil.

We decided to go for Indie gogo since we are from México a country that is unfortunately not convered by Kickstarter. (we tried everything to be able to be on kickstarter but it was just not possible for us).

The funding goal will be a FIXED one, we want to be as transparent as possible with all of you

We will be printing with Expert Playing Card Company and we will be going for a limited run of 1000 decks never to be reprinted again.

Enigma Cards is an established playing card company with a passion for cardistry and magic based in Monterrey, México and its currently México’s best and biggest playing card store.

We have been thinking of creating a deck of cards for a couple of years now so we set a challenge to ourselves, how could we reimagine a deck of cards different from what is available right now.

The concept of the deck is based on the meaning of the word enigma.

- enigma: a puzzling or inexplicable occurrence -

We wanted to transfer that definition without making an overly complicated design.

Its been far too long since I posted last, but watching my little boy grow takes up some time!

Surprised to see (unless I have it wrong) that there have been no comments so far on the Variety Box release or the Aristocrats Classics?

I bypassed the box but picked up a pair of decks - by the community silence have I made a bad move.....?

At approx  $10.00USD a pop its a good box, I took the liberty of putting in bold the decks that are "worth it" cost wise. Of course thats according to my perception.

Some time ago i bought a Blaine Special that had a custom made clip.

I was happy... for a while.
Then i noticed that because it was a Blaine item and highly collectable, i unconsciously didn't use it.
So i got stuck with a clip that i didn't want to damage.

I had very little experience with it, but recently some major changes to the offer of custom clips have arise and im actually very curious about them.


So some questions for the folks that do have a porper clip (custom or not):

· What kind of porper clip should i get if i own decks with custom tuck boxes?? .. example an ultimate deck tuck box.

· Is it worth the money?

· Theres an Abalon clip at the D&D site which looks amazing, but im actually worried about the way they inserted the abalon into the porper clip, does anyone know if the clip will hold together without any problem?

· There are some leather clips out there that look great, does the leather need any kind of special care?

· There are some carbon finer clips out there, are they the same thing? more resistant perhaps? or not worth the investment?
