printed on USPCC's fantastic thin-crush stock.

Just how thin are we talking here Kevin? Been a big fan of Virgina Slims stocks for years, and if this is a deck that has a similar stock to that... well I might just break my piggy bank and pick some up :P

John - you're still alive?  I was starting to have my doubts...  :))

Indeed! Don't even mention how much you missed me, I'm sure it's much greater than words can describe  ;)

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has heard about the Aristocrat Bank Notes in green from Art of Play. Do they handle anywhere near as good as the Red and Blue's from 2011?

Here is the link for those interested https://www.artofplay.com/products/aristocrat-green-edition

The first clue is pretty easy:

http://www.ellusionist.com/1902.html

Ya know, I put http://elusionist.com/1902 without the html at the end, and was rejected, so I figured it couldn't be that.

Any guesses as to where you can find the video for the first clue?  http://www.ellusionist.com/i-am-sw-erdnase.html

So Alex posted this on his Facebook/instagram page. Considering it has a sideways tuck, I think these are more likely than not EPCC. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I think you just might be on to something John! And the point of this deck isn't so much for collecting as it is to be used by magicians and cardistry folks. They are pretty great.

I for one will be a fan! I love both versions of NOC's and I love all my EPCC decks I have. Seeing them together should make for one great working deck. Would you be able to provide any more info on it? Or are we going to have to wait for TBC?

Hey guys, thank you so much for your votes so far :) I made a bit of a change to the OP regarding requesting new categories. "Also please don't request new categories, once people start voting it would be a pain to add and subtract categories and to have people go back and vote for new ones."

Well, here's a thought - make a non-voting category of "best new category suggestion" and use the cream of the crop for next year!

John's keeping it simple this year, as we're actually a bit late on it and we didn't want to make the voting process into something really unwieldly to manage in a short time.

Sounds good to me, just made that change :)

"Also regarding requests for new categories, once voting has started nothing can really be changed/added, we wanted to keep the battles smaller this year since we were late. If the idea is good thought it will for sure be included in next years!"

Hello ladies and gentlemen! I, present to you Deck of the Year 2013! For those of you who don't know for the past 2 years Aether has done a Deck of the Year award, hosted by myself, where YOU the people get to vote on a multitude of categories where you pick what deck should win that category! Those of you who are familiar with this sort of thing should understand, for those of you who don't don't hesitate to PM me and I will answer any and all of your questions.

Now, like anything in the world, we have some simple guidelines you have to follow. You may only vote once, you may change your vote but please edit your post, don't make a new one. Please only vote 1 deck for each category. We prefer if you vote for all the categories and not pick and chose which ones you want to vote for. Lastly, please only vote for deck released in 2013! That's why it's called Deck of the Year 2013! Also regarding requests for new categories, once voting has started nothing can really be changed/added, we wanted to keep the battles smaller this year since we were late. If the idea is good thought it will for sure be included in next years!

Now for the categories!

I'm a little confused about using EPCC. I thought EPCC was using the Taiwanese manufacture now? I agree there is a huge difference between the Shanghai manufacture and Taiwanese. What are we talking about?

From what I understand EPCC finds companies from around the world to print high quality cards. So they use different factories for different wants/needs. I don't think EPCC "stopped" using the Shanghai printer, just hasn't used them since Global Titan. In Paul's case I would like to think he is using the Taiwan factory since he mentions Exquisite, which came out of the factory.

If anyone knows if this isn't the correct information, feel free to correct me :).

I'm very pleased with them and the 5 colors make a nice looking set.

5? Don't you mean 6?

I think he means 4 colors, 6 decks. Red, Blue, Green & Black. The Red & Blue were used for both 1st and V2 editions.

That still doesn't make 5 decks though...
