Playing Card Plethora / Re: Black Diamond Tally-Ho [KS]
« on: November 18, 2015, 03:00:00 AM »
As someone who self funded a deck this year. I will never complain about someone using KS properly. A lot of money came out of my pocket, and it will be a while before I see it back. If I had done mine as a KS project, and it succeeded. Then I could be onto my next project. Now it has to wait.
At least Jackson starts his projects at a profit, or at least a break even point. He's not the problem with KS. Those companies that have $4,000 goals are the problem. They plan on making money on the back side. They have to have such a low goal, or their crap projects would fail. Those crap decks are what's pushing out the real artist that need the full funding.

I forgot to pre-order the Palme LUXX, but I won't these. Another great design by Randy Butterfield! Just a nice players deck.

Without any pictures it would be hard to evaluate anything.

I've ordered from JP's several times. He always packs the cards very well. Never had any issues. Has a huge selection as well.

Welcome to the forum Harry. I'm just down the road from you in Fredericksburg. I don't know if there is any other members near us, but we should get together and play some cards some time.

For this type of deck. I don't mind MPC so much. Being an art deck, I don't expect to use it for games.

Don,
Thanks dude, sorry for that just emo! lol.

Neways just to be clear I'm putting the deck up high to attract attention to other decks I have on offer which are priced to sell (clearing).

Appreciate this topic closed moved out.

Thanks

I would agree that the trade talk probably should have been kept private, but your admission that you overpriced an item to bring more attention to your other sales does not set well with me. For that alone I would never buy an item from you. I'm not sure what your idea of "priced to sell" is, but all your items look overpriced to me.

As far as closing this topic- not going to happen. If you want to read censored material- go to the other forum. We don't do that here.

He recently PM me and was willing to trade a sealed Microsoft Deck for this....

That's actually an interesting trade offer. I'll keep my opinions about it to myself, but it's interesting.

I would keep the Microsoft deck. While the Private Reserve may be very rare, it's still basicly a standard reserve note with a special sticker. Those do come up for sale from time to time. I've only seen the Microsoft deck come up for sale once or twice.

This seems worth sharing:
Signed Black Reserve Note Private Reserve on eBay for $1k, probably the most I have ever seen asked for a modern deck. I wasn't part of the original campaign, so I'm not privy to much info on the Private Reserves, were there really so few of them to command that high of an asking price?

There was a 1,000 + overrun but from my understanding, there was a significant number that where damaged. They where $40 on the origanal KS project. For me, that was a hard trigger to pull then. I almost backed out several times. Glad I didn't. I don't think I could get $1,000 for mine, and I don't think this guy will either. But they are worth considerably more than $40.

That is just for the Black Reserve Note though, correct? Those are numbered x/1000, these aren't numbered but are labeled 'Private reserve'? Is that not a different reward?

I went and dug mine out. You are correct. I'm not sure about that one. It wasn't part of the KS campaign. I've got one that is numbered, and one with no cello- hand signed with a red gas mask seal.

The Conversation Parlor / Re: Nintendo playing cards

How cool was that. Can you imagine what those cards a worth. I didn't know that Nintendo was origanaly a playing card company.
I wonder if there is anybody here that lives in Japan near there. That could be a really cool story for Card Culture.

That back design looks awful familiar...
I would agree. Pretty close to a rip off, and not in a good way.

I'm still working on the court scans, but here is the renderings for you all to check out.

Rob,

I had trouble logging into your store.  I could go to storenvy.com and login fine there.  But on your page, it kept throwing me into a login loop.  I was able to checkout as a guest, though.  Beautiful decks.  Can't wait to get them into my hands.

Thanks PT. I'm not sure why it wouldn't let you log in. It took me 10 minutes extra to figure out how to open the store this morning.  ???  I'll look around to see if there is some setting change I need to do.

I have to agree with Fes. I've not been disappointed with any of Randy's decks. If you're not backing this-you should be. $25US/$29Int for 2 decks delivered. That's a bargain for KS projects.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: 52+J 2015 Convention - THE CLUB DECK
« on: October 11, 2015, 09:12:28 AM »
The half brick box just has Expert and the genie on it. I would bet that Bill plans to sell them on Conjuring Arts with some of his other card projects.

Not to keep slamming this down everybody's throat, but I predict a very fast sell out once this goes public. 2 Reasons- #1 reason is Paul Carpenter. #2 reason is the price difference per deck when buying the 6 pack compared to a single is huge. I would bet that more people will buy 6 packs then singles or doubles combined.

are the rest of the decks gonna be release for the club members as well? if so where can we get them?

Yes. There is probably a link on the 52+Joker website already. Only for members at this time. From my understanding they will go on sale to the public in about a month at an increased price. We all know Paul's decks tend to sell quickly, so if you are a member of 52+J and want one. I'd suggest you order them soon.

I checked the website, only club deck is available.. I really wanted to get the rest of the deck too... like the liberty and Zen

The club only sells club decks.
I'm not sure when the rest will be available, but they will be on there websites. Liberty is Gamblers Warehouse. Royal Red Zen and Liars & Thieves from Conjuring Arts(EPCC), and Honeybee & White Tally Ho from Penguin Magic. My deck will be available starting Monday

I also love Rob and Randy's collaboration on the beautiful Never Forgotten deck designed in memory of Rob's mother.  Half of all the proceeds will go to cancer charities.  What a lovely tribute!

So I'm hooked!!

Just a little correction- At least half of the proceeds from the items I have in this years club auction are going to a charity. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Here's a bit more on the Robert's Never Forgotten deck, details on when and where they will be available included. They did a beautiful job on this project.

Thank You 52+J for allowing me to unveil my deck at this years convention, Bill Kalush and Expert PCC for doing a great print job, and making sure the decks got here on time.
Thank you Anthony for all your help and for promoting my new deck.
Randy did an awesome job of illustrating this deck. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
