I was looking through eBay and found this single swap vintage card... It is the Dragon Back!!! Did anyone know of this?  All of the Dragon Backs appear to be reprints of an older vintage style deck... http://www.ebay.com/itm/150748428153?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648#ht_500wt_1413 Using my superior skills I was able to post an actual pic from eBay, rather than a link...

With all due respect, is there a reason that that wikidot website that you linked is missing so much information... I understand there's only so much time in the day, but why start such an exciting project and leave it half finished... Again, constructive criticism, nobody get emotional...

Well that's news to me! I didn't know that  ??? Thanks for the information!! That's a really good find. I would never have guessed that it was a reprint. Do you have any information on its origin?

I fell asleep before I could snipe it... it happens from time to time... The worst is being so dead tired, you lay there and hear the warning email on ebay mobile and you know you have to get the scope out and get sniping, but you're too tired to even move... Well, that's why I don't have the card... It was going to be one of the few single swaps I would've picked up, just because I love the three Dragon Backs, and this would've been a nice conversation piece... Ce La Vie...

I think the guy running it is doing so more as a hobby than a career.  He's simply not focusing much time on it now.  I personally don't care, since the information he DOES have is pretty awesome.

It's much like the Wiki said: the deck back was designed in the early half of the 20th century, no one knows exactly when, and USPC didn't even have any records showing it was printed.  Some employee going through the design archives found it, showed it to his boss, and in due time, the deck got printed - now available in three colors.  Apparently this WAS made as a deck, though due to the lost records at USPC and the rarity of the cards, we don't know exactly when.

Either that or the single swap was a clever counterfeit.  I couldn't say either way.  It certainly looks authentic.

I think I like this monochrome design just a little better than the modern versions.  It lets you really see the details better.  I always liked the Dragon Back design but bemoaned the fact that it's so muddied by all the colors in it.

Wow great find!

I really love Dragon Backs, whilst I seem like one of the only ones to enjoy the new color scheme, I do still really like the old one.
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

Yeah I must say that the monochromatic design of the original is much nicer looking than the new color scheme. It's more classic and not as flashy. Although the new decks are terrible looking.

Yes you're right. The new decks aren't terrible looking but the old deck has a more classic and humble looking design, which I'm more of a fan of.
