As you may know, there are quite a few members of this board based out of Ontario, including the Dawsons and Lee. I haven't watched much news on it but I did come across this video.

Hopefully everything gets sorted out alright, a bit of a downer right before Christmas. Apparently some people have had no power for almost an entire day now.

The Dawsons and Ashers were in touch with me briefly via email from mobile devices.  They're without power and expect to remain so for a couple more days yet.  I don't think they had any disasters regarding loss of life or limb, so they're doing as well as can be expected.

I remember CBJ/Jason lives not too far from Toronto - I'm going to try hailing him by email.

Yeah, his facebook stated he has been without power as well. He has been posting updates here and there when he can find a connection.

I'm about 10 minutes from Jason. He's been without power for a while. I lost power for about 12 hrs, it came back on about 30 mins ago. Hopefully Jason is getting his soon if not already. We got about 30 mm (1 inch) of ice. Trees down everywhere!!

Everyone please be safe, good luck with getting your power back soon (it's likely you can't see this, but still, good luck and be safe)!

Starting to get better...have to stay dedicated...can't lose any more cards in the middle of a trick.  Literally, completely lost a card.

All this makes me feel bad as I've had no outage at all so far. I've got a few power flickers throughout the weekend, but otherwise I'm fine. Things look pretty bad with so much covered in ice. I think a good chunk of the trees in my area look like they might fall down or have fallen down due to the weight of all the ice on it. I hope everyone can get power back soon.

I thought I'd include a picture, take from Toronto Hydro, showing how many people don't have power. It's not completely current, but it's crazy to imagine how many people in a big city doesn't have power right now. I'm very thankful I haven't been affected much at all.

He told me his house was at 10ÂșC when he woke.

You lucked out.  I think of all those people without power, and I see all those people without HEAT as well.  It's still a few degrees below freezing there.  I hope that everyone there makes it through that OK.
