The vortex deck will be made of aristocrat stock correct? I just bought a few decks of the aristocrat 727 banknotes and they seem to be a little bit more stiff than other decks with the same stock. (such as the v6's)

is this because of the finish that was used on the decks?
have you heard the word???

The Banknotes are Air-cushion + Aristocrat. v6 are Magic finish + Aristocrat. Finishes do not affect stiffness or thickness.

In fact, aside from how they feel on the surface, there should be no difference between the Banknotes and the v6's.

The Vortex will be slightly stiffer than the v6's because there is less ink saturation, but it does also use the magic/aristocrat combo.

I'm really hoping the Vortex Deck will be springy, and not very stiff. But its ok if its a little stiff because all it takes is a little use to break it in!

Isn't that statement a bit counterproductive? A stiffer deck would naturally give more spring than a soft deck due to the fact it would want to return to its original shape.

Linen and air cushioned are pretty much the same thing from what ive read.

The reason i made this post was because i was breaking in a deck of aristocrats and they were very hard to lepaul spread; as if they were almost to stiff to bend enough to spring for the spread. That experience got me thinking so i opened up a new pack of v6's and they were MUCH easier to lepaul.

Are there different types of aristocrat stock??
have you heard the word???

Maybe the new backnotes aren't on Aristocrat stock?  I mean, just because they're using the brand name...

Yea i know, but i think it makes more sense to "agree" with what it says on the box to not cause confusion, a lot of people don't know about USPC and their finishes.

so you are trying to see finish is just how smooth they are?
