Hello all,

I came across these yesterday, and I can't get them out of my head.

I want to get the whole set of five!  What do you guys think of them??

Just wondering what the forum thinks these should cost me...

CBJ

btw: you can find them from this seller

I would so get them but... this guy is probably using the logos without permission so bad things are going to happen.

But these do look really really cool, Curt may be buying all of these to display his cards in now.

I would say around 5-7 bucks depending on how badly you want them.

The seller is from Hong kong and the production fee would be quite cheap to make those.. I guess 5usd - 8usd is quite okay...

Haha, I am quite tempted. Even just to use them to display me open decks that I use often. I'll probably keep an eye on the auction and see how the price goes. If they go over 5 bucks a piece, ill just let them go, my frames are doing fine as of now to display my collection

Just received a message from the seller.

I can buy a set of 5 off of him directly for $40US including shipping.  Works out to $8 bucks a piece.

I think I just might buy a set to get them off my mind

lol

I'm not too keen on these. I guess if your display allowed for so much space taken up just to display one deck it's fine.

As for the copyright dilemma, it obviously doesn't apply to you and you'll face no consequences. China is also quite out of the range of international copyright law. The question comes down to whether or not getting these is worth some bloke profiting off of this.

They look nice to me, but I won't buy it cause displaying decks will make my room get smaller.

Don't they make very similar things designed for mobile phones that would do the exact same job for less cash?

Look, here's one for less than a dollar.  Think on.

SO.... I broke down and purchased these.  I dealt directly with the seller and picked them up for 25GBP (shipping included)

Disappointed at the quality.  These are CHEAP plastic.  I have no idea why I thought they would be a heavier plastic.

And, as you can see in the pics, the plastics already all scratched, and the printing is sh*tty.  Also, it seems like the process they used to put the printing on the base has warped the plastic... like it was melted a bit.

Even though the decks look good sitting on these things, I would not recommend getting a set.

But, if you do... you can e-mail Ken directly here: magickenken@gmail.com

Here are the pics... (click for larger)

I don't have a N64.  I have an emulator on my computer that has every N64 game, and a USB adapter that allows me to plug 2 real N64 controllers in.

It's awesome.

Lets try and not derail the topic of this thread, I know that semi classic gaming systems are awesome and all, and I wish I still had my N64 but we can carry this topic on in the Talk Park if need be.

Even if the plastic is cheap CBJ, they still look pretty darn cool.
