Needs a load of work to make it awesome but it has 4 poker basement rooms  with a spiral staircase that used to be in a West End London theatre! Hopefully will complete on the 8th May. Pretty excited  :)

To be honest one of my favorite things about it is the proximity to this - labelled 'the monkey trail' It's one of the best mountain bike trails in the area and within (off road) cycling distance from the house. Stile Cop bike park is also ten mins drive up the road.

Great looking house. Love the staircase. Wrought iron I suppose. Midlands beautiful. Well done.

Yes it's wrought iron. Really beautiful piece. The plan is that we are going to basically remove 80% of the floor in the living room and have a mezzanine walkway with the spiral stair going down to a library / music room that will be 4m high with the window at the top. That's where the piano, full height bookcase (with rolling ladder!), fireplace, playing cards and comfy chairs will go. The biggest bedroom which is on the ground floor will be our design studio, then a cinema room and workshops in the rest of the basement level.

The midlands is a tough area to buy because so much of Birmingham and the black country are questionable to say the least - and it is difficult to find somewhere that you can afford with a nice house in a nice location. I think the quirkyness of this property held it back from selling which worked to our benefit because the layout is perfect for us as we need a decent workshop and home studio.

Also cannock chase is beautiful - I have many fond memories from being in this area such as this, we used to visit most weekends so living there is a great thing for us.
