Video Review - DMC Elites v4 - Marked Playing Cards

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-fvY3g1KCA

For the first time ever, the DMC ELITES V4 is now printed by the iconic United States Playing Card Company, still the world's favorite choice. The cards will endure hours upon hours of professional use, and all faces are standard USPCC faces for minimum scrutiny or suspicion from your audience.

The cards feature the latest revision of the unique OPTICAL MARKING SYSTEM (OMS), a powerful 'reader' system designed specifically for the use of magicians and mentalists. The marking system has an ingeniously hidden mechanic that is readable with extreme speed, at great range and even in poor light.

"National Playing Card Collection Day"

video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW1yCsq56z0

National Playing Card Collection Day (October 17) celebrates the collection of one of the oldest forms of portable art (circa 1200s).

Playing cards are literal galleries of art and inspiration, showing and communicating the intentions of an artist to the public while also archiving the cultural values of their time.

Collecting these art pieces allow us to be curators of our own galleries to display.

These collections can be seen as extensions of the collector and this day is a time to celebrate and share their collections to the public.

It's all about the journey.

If there was ever a time to pack it up and start the life you’ve always imagined, that time is now. Voyagers were inspired by the open road - with a spirit of adventure. Made in America.

Beautiful art. This tuck case is beautiful!  Excellent handling as usual and as always they feel like butter in your hands.

The New Deck Order's new line of playing cards is finally here. Broken Borders Playing Cards are a fresh new take on standard playing cards for cardistry.

Featuring design elements that overlap the borders of the cards, these sexy cards are dramatic and bold. The diagonal stripes make the card look outstanding in cuts and spins. Your moves will look loud and hypnotizing.

They've taken what they've learned designing the School of Cardistry V3 deck and went a step further. The face elements have been redesigned to be thicker and more eye-catching. The stripes grab your audience's attention right from the get-go.

All these, tied together with a yellow and black danger print motif. This motif stretches from the cards, to the tuck case, to the seal, to the brick box, and into the world around you.

Untitled V2 'Reflections' is a journey into the mind of an artist. The reflection of self.

It began with a painting, then photographed and mirrored 4 times. Throughout the design are hidden meanings relating to the topic of reflection and art.

The hearts 2-10 have one pip enhanced to incorporate the back design. However, the AKQJ have been left unaltered. This signifies that the untitled ones, born from nothing, have nothing. The court cards were often used to resemble royalty.

The Ace of Spades has been enlarged and incorporates the back design, with a faint Untitled logo beneath it. To maintain a consistent color palette of the deck, the standard blue from USPCC has been removed, leaving just red, yellow and black.

A limited run of 2500 abstract art pieces.

This art will never be reprinted.

Merah Putih is an Indonesian term for "red (and) white"

The King of Hearts holds the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence which was read at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 17 August 1945.

The declaration marked the start of the diplomatic and armed resistance of the Indonesian National Revolution, fighting against the forces of the Netherlands and pro-Dutch civilians, until the latter officially acknowledged Indonesia's independence in 1949.

The document was signed by Sukarnoand Mohammad Hatta, who were appointed president and vice-president respectively the following day.

The magician shows the Joker card behind the cellophane of the card case. He claims that he doesn't like to mix the Joker with the rest of cards. In fact, he really doesn't like the Joker.

At a moment's notice, the magician takes the Joker from behind the cellophane, gives it a strike

....And BAM!

A small bicycle falls from the card, and when he reveals the card, the bicycle has vanished, and Joker has fallen onto the ground!

This effect is a great opener for any close-up performance. A fantastic ice-breaker! Generates laughter and amazed reactions!

Sakura Playing Cards by Francis and Dominic Garcia is a limited-edition deck printed by USPCC.

They are swooned over during picnics. They are painstakingly painted. They are obsessed over in poems. They are cited as a symbol of the transient nature of life. And they are sprinkled on Starbucks lattes.

Welcome to Japan’s pink and modern world of cherry blossoms. It is impossible to think of springtime Japan without an iconic image of a sea of cherry trees awash with perfect pink blooms instantly coming to mind.

This Deck includes one of the first Japanese cherry blossom themed designs.

The flowers are deeply symbolic: their short-lived existence taps into a long-held appreciation of the beauty of the fleeting nature of life, as echoed across the nation’s cultural heritage, from tea ceremonies to wabi sabi ceramics. The blossoms also, quite literally, symbolise new beginnings, with April 1 being the first day of both the financial and academic year in Japan.

In a nutshell? The cherry blossoms are not just pretty pink flowers: they are the floral embodiment of Japan’s most deep-rooted cultural and philosophical beliefs.

Review: MONTE TEST by Anthony Stan & Magic Smile Productions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvJC7unZCOs

The game is simple, the spectator must find the winning card which is the different card (for example: the 9 of spades).

Phase 1: The spectator tries to find the winning card, but he is wrong.

Phase 2: The winning card (the 9 of spades) becomes red. Now, the card has a red back and it's easy to follow.

Phase 3: The spectator tries again but when the red card is revealed, it's not the winning card (for example: it's the 9 of hearts). The magician gives two other chances to the spectator but he is wrong on both of them. Then, the red backed card turns to a blue backed card once again.

Phase 4: The magician puts one card (the 9 of hearts) in his pocket and keeps only two cards in his hands. But now, these cards are the 9 of hearts and the winning card (the 9 of spades) is in the magician's pocket.
Hand the cards to the spectator for examination
Includes the cards and video instructions(English/Français)
Ready out of the box
Easy to do
Examinable
4 killer phases
2 handlings

Red Stripe playing cards. Inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso each card was hand-drawn before being digitally cleaned-up and presented in its final rendering

The design comes from the concept of wanting a bold solid stripe in the middle to accent the dynamic movements in cardistry.

"The deck is fully customized from the geometric back design to the custom arrangement of the spot cards, right down to the custom court cards and jokers. Even the tuck interior is customized!"

video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcd_2TlH8iY

This deck was born last year almost at the same time of Agape, their first project.

The idea was to show the deck of cards as it was a book, a book full of stories that it has lived, it is living and it will live itself but that it can tell anyway.

In many magic routines it’s normal to use a story as play choreography… telling a story… telling it as a fair to read to children, in order to let the interlocutor go deep inside in the magic’s world.

It’s the reason why the ace of spades has written “every deck tells a story”, because cards are the voice and the instrument magic uses to tell about itself… No one like ace of spades could tell it better than others.

FEATURES:

Printed by the Legends Playing Card Company on their Classic Finish
Pantone metallic gold on cards
Premium Matte Card Tuck box fully embossed and foiled

Without any fancy moves, the magician transports the hole to another location on the same card.

It happens inches away from the spectator without cover or other funny business.

New innovation hole transportation system:
No flaps, no sticky stuff
Made with precision
