Hi everyone,

I'm new to this community but have been a card enthusiast for years and have been casually collecting decks - mostly those with transformative and semi-transformative designs and art decks.

Anyways, I've recently moved to Germany and was wondering if there are any friends that also share my hobby?

Thanks, I've been lurking on this site for awhile, but figured I'd make the plunge and register. I'm really excited to be more part of the community look forward to meeting more like-minded enthusiasts (here in Europe and everywhere) and learning more about card collecting :D

It's a shame you didn't check us out sooner - we're run by a collectors' club called 52 Plus Joker and our 2017 annual convention was held in Erlanger, Kentucky - the city where the United States Playing Card Company has its factory and headquarters.  We were granted a factory tour as part of the festivities!  I was busy the entire weekend but had a fantastic time.

The club's next convention is in Columbus, Ohio, if I remember correctly - it's not too late to join and meet us there!  ;)

Yea, the convention in Columbus Ohio would be of more interest for me as I have a lot of friends and family in the Chicagoland area and Ohio is not *that* far lol. Maybe, I'll have to see if the dates align with my work/holiday/vacations schedule lol.

The factory tour must have been really amazing - I could only imagine! :D

It was kind of cool - but it was a factory, rather than something like a showroom.  Lotsa noise, lotsa big machines, lotsa industrial smells...  ;)  Seriously, though, it was pretty cool, but the convention itself was great fun, as was the last one I attended before that, Orlando in 2015.  The 2016 con was in the suburbs of Chicago!

Hey Don,

The Convention is in the Cleveland, Ohio area, not Columbus. I'm about two thirds finished with the Club Deck design, and Cleveland is mentioned / drawn a couple times in the design.

Thanks, Randy

I am curious whether there are other people from Chicago, who meet locally to trade, since CPCC no longer meets.
